Make a word mosaic --turn your words into a shape image.

Prezi is an alternative presentation tool. This presentation tool allows the creator to make a presentation that is not linear. Unlike PowerPoint where you go from one slide to the next, these presentations are set up to travel in any direction you want. From there you can even zoom in to highlight important parts, or include definitions bellow new words in a passage that might be in the presentation. Teachers will find this tool useful for incorporating into lesson, but because it is really user friendly, students can also use this site.

Picknik is a wonderful website for doing things with pictures. Students can use this site to edit their own pictures when including them into a presentation. Teachers might also find this website useful for uploading class pictures to send out to the parents. There are many features to choose from on this website to make your pictures better than they were. This site is free, but like many, has upgrades if you would like more options.

Using this digital platform students can visually balance out pros and cons they have created and listed on any subject. This could be used before or after researching a topic or issue even taking into account emotional and rational influences. The lists can then be shared and commented upon by their classmates as to whether they agree or disagree and why.
