The Second City's first-ever film BUZZKILL takes form of a dark comedy, following the life of a struggling writer, Ray Wyatt, who crosses paths with a notorious fugitive dubbed The Karaoke Killer, played by Darrell Hammond. uPlaya has teamed up with The Second City to find a breakout hit for feature placement in the film, and music artists have until November 30th to submit songs to uPlaya's free Music Universe Contest for their chance to win this amazing opportunity!

BUZZKILL makes the event lineup for the Hollywood Film Festival, which kickoffs today, October 22nd and will last through the weekend. BuzzKill will premiere on Sunday, October 4th at 3PM. Hollywood Film Fest 2010 gives special attention to the "subversive comedies" in this year's lineup. With Indican marketing VP Randolph Hamilton helping to program the event, the festival helps to bring up-and-coming comedians and indie filmmakers to the spotlight. One of Hamilton's top picks was a dark comedy by The Second City, "Buzzkill," which features two star turns: Daniel Raymont as the neurotic lead and Krysten Ritter as a smart-ass young woman. "The interchange between the two reminds me of the best of comedies from the 1970s," Hamilton says, "such as 'Harold & Maude,' when comedy had teeth instead of just being over the top."

Since moving to Florida, Puerto Rican Hip Hop Artist- Reconize- has been determined to make a name for himself in the music industry. Getting his start in collaboration with friends and local music group Da Prodigyz, Reconize began recording songs and booking gigs around town shortly after his arrival.
