The International Children's Digital Library has children's picture books written in English and other languages. The content of the books seems to have an emphasis on fairy tales, folklore, and diverse cultures. From their mission statement, "to excite and inspire the world's children to become members of the global community - children who understand the value of tolerance and respect for diverse cultures, languages and ideas -- by making the best in children's literature available online."

This has tons of facts about different topics. Kids who like to read Guiness Book of World Records or books like that would love this site.

This site is specifically for teachers with lesson plans and all sorts of resources. There are of coarse any links for information on books as you would expect from Scholastic. Also information for students and parents who are interested in learning more about books.

This site is for younger students and has hundreds of audio books that are free to listen to. What a great site for reading centers. This could be something used everyday in the classroom.
