We wish others to sleep soundly as well as ourselves : and we hate the tra.de in slaves. We are the children of one conmmn Father ; and the slave. trade being hatehd to Him, we give you a proof of our desire to promote your pro- sperity by joining you in the attempt to open up your country to peaceful commerce.
