  •
Personal learning network for educators to use and collaborate with other teachers, which is a bit more personal and immediate than other sites.
  •
I can use this to talk to other teachers or other people to get classroom ideas or just to ask question anytime I need to talk to another teacher.
  •
This is a ning site dedicated to the support of a Personal Learning Network for Educators. This website, after creating an account, allows you to network with other educators and has a wide collection of inspiring articles and helpful links. This would be a great website to swap ideas with other educators or read threads to keep up with helpful and relevant conversations.

Just 4 Teachers: Sharing Across Borders - 1 views

  •
This website is ideal for teachers to share ideas and stay in touch with other teachers all over the world. Teachers can easily share stories of students and lesson plans that have worked for them in the past. Teachers sharing with each other is vital for the success of students. There is no need to "rewrite the book" on teaching when people have been doing it for years and years. These websites can also give teachers great insight on what is going on in schools all over the nation and possibly integrating students from other areas in lessons, such as pen pals or Skyping in the classroom.

PLN (2): This website is a resource for teachers to use based upon their interests and passions. It is a way for educators to connect with one another, gain new and insightful tools to use in the classroom, and support other teachers. There is a forum where you can post questions, leave comments for other professionals, etc. This is a good place to make a personal connection with others in the same field as yourself. As a first year teacher, this would be a good place to gain added support needed to be successful.

This website would be helpful for teachers to review. This journal is all about teachers sharing their own stories and offering advice to other teachers. It is good for teachers to work together because you can learn great things from other teachers. Getting opinions on situations is also helpful because sometimes the answer is right in front of you and you just can't think of it.

Lesson Plans for Students with Disabilities - 0 views

  •
This is a great site becuase this is a topic that I know I need help with and I'm sure others would as well. There is such a wide range of disabilites and with each disability comes an even wider range of students who react to that disability differently. It's so hard to be able to know what to do in a certain situation so that you know each student gets the help and support they need. This site is a great resource for adapted lessons and other ideas that will help you reach every student.

Social Networking and Media for Schools - 0 views

This website is like twitter, but instead of having students enter with an email address, they enter with a school code. I think this is a great idea because it can be used to start understanding digital citizenship as they communicate with other students and teachers. I think there could be other uses too- like to keep in touch with students about important information.

This website is very credible and has sections for teachers, principals, librarians, parents, and other professionals. Reading Rockets has produced several shows on PBS and those are posted on this website as well. They include a variety of topics about reading. This website would be a useful tool to use in my future classroom because it contains newsletters with new and relevant topics regarding reading that are research-based (dyslexia, closing the literacy gap, etc.).
