This website is perfect for elementary students and teaches the basics of health. It talks about illnesses/injuries, how the body works, how to stay healthy, and much more. I will use this in my class room to educate my students about being active and healthy. Basically, this website has a bunch of facts for young kids to stay healthy and to know about health.

This is a great site for teaching kids to stay healthy. I can use it in a health class that I teach. I could use it to help explain how the body works and explain how the body works.

Phys Ed/Health

National Geographic  has a variety of resources, and can be used for small mini lessons. The information on this website is extremely reliable and current events can always be found here. The website is very kid friendly, and the vocabulary is well defined and easy for kids to read.

I choose this site because it is a kid friendly informational site about animals. This site can be used In my future classroom by describing all the different types of animals.

Kids.gov: The U.S. Government's Official Web Portal for Kids... Aside from the extensive amount other grade level appropriate subjects and topics, this website has great science resources for teachers and students. There are many videos that break down subject matter, like how orbits work or what fossils tell about time. I would use it ideas on different science experiments and definitely for the videos, since sometimes you never know what you are getting with YouTube.

This website really caters to the students interests. Students can play a math game with the superhero who fights crimes when they solve a math problem. They can read a story with their favorite character and be excited and engaged when the character asks comprehension questions after the story is over.

PBS kids has games for kids of all ages. You could play the games for weeks and never play the same one twice.

All kids love the chance to get on the computer but it is important that we give them games to play that they will also learn from. This website has over 100 games for each grade level that kids will love and not think of it as doing math. there is a wide variety of choices and is a great place to send kids to.

this website provides a variety of lessons for physical education. Not all kids enjoy PE and hate running but this website includes lessons such as steal the flag football, rhythm sticks, cooperative handball and many more. One lesson that stuck out to me was "Juast a minute" where the coach/ teacher reads a book just a minute and they discuss how long a minute is and have the kids close their eyes and put heads down for a minute. (which is hard for younger kids) Then they discuss if their body is healthy they should be able to do any activity for a minute wihtout stopping. This was interesting, the teacher could create any activity for them to do for a minute which is very creative.

This is a good website to use for social studies. It provides current events that are interesting to kids. There is also information about other countries around the world. This website has great picture taken from National Geographic. I will use this in my classroom with children to learn about different countries and keep up with current events.

This is a great website for educational games to use in the classroom. It has games from each of the subject areas. I will use it during different subject areas in my classroom.

Online Learning Games for kids are a great way to build the skills that kids need to succeed in school. These educational games for kids make learning fun with math facts, language arts, and more. This would be another option to reach different subjects and topics. This website also has a printable. The printable would be good for those students who may not want to use the computer but needs extra help.

PE Central's Kids Quiz is a fun and educational daily quiz designed to have students learn about physical activity, health, and nutrition. I liked this because it makes the kids learn the information because there is a quiz. I can refer to this when I am in a health or P.E. class. It does say most kids will have to guess the answers, but thats a god way to start a lesson to gets the information out there.

This is a good website for current events in social studies. Students could refer to this page when looking for current events around the world for a research project. It is also good for the teachers to keep up to date on world events.

This website talks about current events, geography, and holidays. It includes past history around the civil war period and Renaissance. This website contains stories and information about important history periods. Also, there are helpful fun facts and glossaries to help students with social studies.

This site provides information about geography, government, war, middle ages, and many other areas that are studied in school. I like that it provides current events information as well. This site could be used in class if you wanted your students to write about something currently going on in the world, or even to research something from the past.

This site is a great place to go to answer health questions. There is a student tab and a parent tab that answer questions based on the appropriate level. Under the student tab, there is a link that answers big questions that kids often have. There is also a kids dictionary of health conditions.

Kids Health targets younger children, teens, and parents. This website could give advice for teens, and for the younger children understand how the body works. I would use this for a guide for my lessons or any questions my students might have.

This site would be fun for kids to browse because you can look up facts, experiments, projects, do quizzes, and play games. This site could be used in class if you wanted children to look through the site and pick out facts that interest them or if they are researching something.

This website has a lot of great interactive ideas for the classroom. I could use this site for experiment ideas to do with my class.

I choose this site because it is a great site for students who want or need help with understanding science. This site can be used in my future classroom by having this website be one which students can look it up at home and watch or do lessons on science.

Education Game I selected this website because it has a lot of games suited for elementary students. Also, it includes comics for students to read, instead of playing games. This website focuses more on reading and math, as it has games only for these two subjects and arcade games. I will use this in the class with the younger grade levels.

FunBrain is the #1 site for online educational games for kids of all ages. (math, grammar, science, spelling, history). I played this when I was a student and not only was it fun, it challenged my thinking a lot.

I choose this site because it not only has arcade type games but also fun brain reading games. This site can be used in my future classroom by giving the students ceryain games to work on during a lesson.

This website would be very helpful for kids grades 2-6. There are no games but interesting videos to watch such as "food smarts" or topics to read about like friends, family, school, body, emotions and money. I think the kids would like this webiste because it trys to relate to them by silly doodles on the notebook, cellphones that have texts for them. it is different and yet another good website for them to go on during computer time.

Social studies for kids grades K-5, and is a government run website which has information for kids about social studies and U.S. History

This is a good social studies website for teachers and students to use. It has many different tabs to view on the site. You can look at current events going on or even watch different videos, and it even has games.

This website is neat because it offers so much more than just government. It has links to other kids sites and other options for them to explore.

DOGO News has fun articles for kids on current events, science, sports, and more! There are also lots of stories, pictures, videos, games and the DOGO news map for kids! Add your comments, read reviews of cool websites, and more! What a great tool to have this can make lesson relevant to the "NOW' .

social studies for kids is a great website for teachers to have. it helps students and teachers both at the same time. this could be used as a classroom learning tool or a helping tool for kids at home.

This allows students to play different games, look at current events and get to low Social Studies a little better. Good website for students K-5

I chose this website, because social students has always been a tough topic for me, so this is a good way to learn new information as well as fun facts. This website would be good to use for indivial projects on different states, and also to learn about them, and where they are on the map too.

This website has over 40 links to mini language arts lessons that could be used. Whether it be used when there is extra time and i need to have somrthing for the kids to do or just as a minni lesson, it has a variety. There is anything from reinforcing the alphabet and sounds, to creative thinking. I really liked one of the lessons called "Invent a Holiday" which is pretty much self explanetory but i know the kids would love!
