I chose this as my Educational site. This has several games designed to reach all the grade levels in elementary. A site like this will benefit not only the teacher but the students as well. Depending on what grade I teach in the future, I could use this for as low as Kindergarden or as high as the 5th grade. For Kindergarden and 1st grade, they have a game where the student needs to help out a monkey to put the days of the week in order. The New York Times featured this site as an award-winning games and apps, which is pretty cool.
Educational Games (2): This website contains games for students K-5, featuring a variety of topic areas. These games were created or approved by certified school teachers and are free to use. They can be used on the computer or on a device such as an iPad, etc. I see myself using this as a parent of young children more than in the classroom as I plan to teach at the secondary level; however, I found the website to be very appealing for kids and the games are fun and engaging.
This website, like other educational game websites, has a whole array of games based on grade level. I really like how each game has the standards that it aligns with. Again, I would allow my students to play this to help strengthen certain content area skills. I might encourage parents to allow students to play at home.
I have used this website before, but I really like it, because there are so many different levels and topics to choose from. A lot of the games have challenges, so they can work toward beating their score and getting to the next level. Math: This site is built of lesson plans for all subjects but when I looked specificially for math lesson plans for 2nd grade, I found there were only 9 listed, and although that sounds low in # I thought it allowed me to think of other ideas around the same thought process that could be developed into more lessons
This tool gives 26 lessons for 2nd grade alone not to mention other general topics like social emotional learning, then if you want you can also subscribe to the group as well
As a student I had a mixed review of social studies - this site in just a few sentences helped me understand why. Social studies is like the "junk drawer" of disciplines and ranges from govt to humanities to so many more. some things I liked others not so much, but this site lets you see how its all relevant to Social Studies

Amber Koth
A website for kids and their parents to learn more about health, fitness and nutrition through fun games, recipes and articles. This website could be more for the home, but I would modify it for the classroom. One example was a game called Scavenger Hunt, and the students would have to find objects placed around the room in so much time. You might have some safety issues with this game, but I could make it work.

For this website it has different resources a teacher can use when it comes to apps, classroom management tips, having students who have disabilities, working in large groups playing games, teaching in a limited space, and a lot more resources. How I would use this is working in games in a large group, dealing with teaching in a limited space, or how to manage a classroom that size for PE.

This is a great lesson planning resource! It gives you the option to chose grade level, subject area, and then splits it up into topics of standards such as Reading Foundational Skills. I would use this as a source to use for ideas and make it my own.
Share my lesson allows teachers to post their lesson plans to a shared site. When looking for a lesson, teachers can search for the topic and it will pull up all of the posted lesson plans.
This website has many lesson plans from teachers that they have tried and had success with in their classrooms. This would be nice to know that there was positive feedback from the lesson that I can use and just make adjustments to meet the needs of my students.
I think this is a good website to use when I am struggling to make lesson plans. I plan to use this during my planning hours or maybe share and help other teachers who are on the same boat.
