Math (2): This website is sponsored by Sylvan which specializes in tutoring services for students. On this website, there is a free version where students can watch free math videos covering many concepts, take free practice tests, receive practice problems, etc. There is also a version that can be purchased which provides more in-depth help for students--750+ videos, e-textbooks, step-by-step problem solving help, etc. This website can be used by students or parents who are trying to help their students with homework. It would be a great resource for teachers to pass on to parents to use at home with their child if the child is struggling.

This site provides many different subject areas and options for lesson plans. The site says they have over four thousand to choose from so I feel this site would be helpful. This site would be most useful when looking for ideas to go along with a lesson plan that I already created or to get ideas of subjects to make a lesson plan.

This also has free lesson plans for all grades, and all subjects. You could create a lesson plan too! The teacher could also get the magazine for this website. Again, I would use this for a resource and ideas.

This site will be very helpful to me because it has many different lesson plans to look for. This site also has tips to help teachers while writing a lesson plan.

PLN (1): This website is a great resource to connect to other educational professionals. You can create an account and read blogs, attend free webinars on various educational topics (so cool!!), and it is completely free to join. I can see myself accessing this resource on a regular basis now, even before having my own classroom. This online community is simple to use and has received many awards for its content.

This website has a lot of fun typing games. This could be used with an elementary technology class to introduce keyboarding skills. The games are free too, which also makes it more enjoyable. Students could play this at home as well!

Social Studies (2): This website contains free learning and teaching resources from Federal Agencies which makes it a credible resource for teachers and students to use. It covers a variety of history/social studies topics: government, famous people, movements, states/regions, world studies, wars, etc. There are photos, videos, documents, and other important resources about the topics that are linked to each subject. As a teacher, this resource could be used as links in PowerPoints, embedded in Prezis, or as a tool for students to use in the classroom.

This site not only provides lesson plans but also other things like classroom maps that may be useful. I like that this site is free and the submissions are by other teachers. This site would be helpful when looking for more options for lesson plans and other classroom related stuff.

This site would be helpful when looking for a new worksheet to use in class plus it's free. If I am looking for a worksheet in the future and this site has the subject I am looking for I would use this site.

This site has free educational games for kids! It includes many games for kids that are the perfect combination of learning and fun! I could use this as a quiet time center, or a free time activity.

If you have a scholastic book that you want to cover, you can look it up and they provide you with a good plan for class.It provides good ideas and activities to help you teach. Any teacher can use this to help in their class.

I chose this website because the wealth of information that you can get from it. Not only is their lessons, but there is also books that go along with the lessons, and strategies to teaching the lesson too. This would be very beneficial my first year teaching.

This is a good site for free math worksheets. The worksheets are sorted by grade level and by topic. The worksheets are simple and ready to use. This could be extremely handy as a future math teacher.

This website is handy for finding quick activities for children to do during free time. These activities could be used as fillers if a lesson gets done too early. They could also be used as activities during fall, winter, or spring parties.

I feel as a teacher you can never have too many resources for ideas.

This is a great website for educational games to use in the classroom. It has games from each of the subject areas. I will use it during different subject areas in my classroom.

Online Learning Games for kids are a great way to build the skills that kids need to succeed in school. These educational games for kids make learning fun with math facts, language arts, and more. This would be another option to reach different subjects and topics. This website also has a printable. The printable would be good for those students who may not want to use the computer but needs extra help.

I love this site for so many reasons. It is a great learning tool and it is also doing something good for the world. You can play anonymously, or make an account and track progress. It is a vocabulary challenge in which you are asked to choose the definition of a word from 4 options. If you get the answer correct, 10 grains of rice are donated through the World Food Programme to help earn world hunger. I can definitely see myself allowing students to do this during free time in class. I can also see myself offering it as extra credit. For example, so many grains of rice donated equals so many points extra credit to students.

I chose this website because not only does it help students learn about multiple subjects, but it also helps feed the hungry. After you get an answer correct, 10 grains of rice is donated to help feed the hungry. Depending on age level and subject, students could do this during free time or after a test.

I chose this website because it gives teachers a couple ideas on free collaboration tools that students can use and teachers can use. I would use this resource as a guide to share with my students on the different types of collaboration tools they can use when doing a group project.

This site can be used in my future classroom by using each subjects lesson plan that is available as a sample of what I want mine to be like.

I chose this resource because it offers project ideas, discussion guides, book fairs, book clubs, as well as a teacher store. I would use this resource as a place to get materials that I need for in my classroom as well as a resource for books for students and myself.

I could use this in my future to find lessons with books I want to read or to find a book for a certain type of lesson.

Scholastic has free access to lesson and unit plans for teachers. You can put in the grade level and the subject and it will give you access to lots of lesson plan options.
