Social Studies Games - Presidents & Vice Presidents | Learning Games For Kids - 1 views

  •
This is a Social Studies site. I chose this one due to its creativity. This game that I am bookmarking is an activity for the students to match up the presidents with his vice president. It is very accessible, they have instructions for you at the beginning and then you are off to matching up the president to their vice president. It tells you which ones you get right and wrong. The only problem I have with it is, it doesnt give any clues so I had a hard time because it has been along time since I learned about the presidents.

Creativity Resource for Teachers » Lesson Plans - 0 views

I chose this site as my Lesson Plan/Teaching Sharing. This site has many options. You get to choose what country you want, the grade you desire, the subject, and if you want it in English or Spanish. I know most people would probably not care about the different languages or countries it displays. But, this is an imporant tool to have. If you have a classroom full of ESL's, then this site would come in handy.

There is anything from reinforcing the alphabet and sounds, to creative thinking. this website provides a variety of lessons for physical education. Not all kids enjoy PE and hate running but this website includes lessons such as steal the flag football, rhythm sticks, cooperative handball and many more. One lesson that stuck out to me was "Juast a minute" where the coach/ teacher reads a book just a minute and they discuss how long a minute is and have the kids close their eyes and put heads down for a minute. (which is hard for younger kids) Then they discuss if their body is healthy they should be able to do any activity for a minute wihtout stopping. This was interesting, the teacher could create any activity for them to do for a minute which is very creative.

Classroom layout and design - 1 views

  •
again, this website lists and shows images of different things teachers have done in their classroom. It would benefit any teacher to scroll through the images of the different things that can be done in a classroom and use those ideas. having an inviting classroom is important and they have very cute ideas for bulletin boards to the layout. It would greatly help any teacher come up with creative things to do to their classroom.

Lesson Plans | iCivics - 0 views

As a teacher there are going to be lessons that are more directed to teaching the students a particular topic but it may not be very interesting. This website has creative lesson plans that are out of the box and get the students involved in learning through experiments and play. These lessons would be great to do after a long lesson on something that may be difficult for students.

Web 2.0 is about revolutionary new ways of creating, collaborating, editing and sharing user-generated content online. It's also about ease of use. There's no need to download, and teachers and students can master many of these tools in minutes. Technology has never been easier or more accessible to all.

Teacher's corner has an abundance of resources for teachers to use. Worksheets, lesson plans, seasonal items, bulletin boards, collaborating projects, units and message boards are all at the use of a teacher. The teachers corner has a lot of very helpful resources for teachers to use on a daily basis, or when they are in a bind or need something new and creative.

I like this resource because it offers a creative way to check for understanding and reading comprehension in students. It is free and allows the teacher to create their own questions, quizzes, and more. This would be a great tool to utilize in my classroom to incoroporate technology to check students reading comprehension, understanding, and if they are actually reading.

The 25 Coolest International Sporting Events | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rum... - 0 views

  •
This gives a list of 25 international sports. Obviously we can't play all of them, but we can be creative and create our own olympics or something like that. I can also emphasize the history of these sports and other sports the students are more familiar with.
