PE: I chose this website because I think it is a great website for general education teachers looking to incorporate physical education in their classroom, like myself. There are specific PE lesson plans designed to use in the classroom, as well as warm ups and weekly challenges. I think all students would enjoy these activities!
  •
I chose this website because it has everything that any PE teacher would need. They have warm-up, full lessons, and circuits. This would be useful for me in the future, because I may have to cover a gym class, or one of my students may ask me for help on this topic.

PEC: Classroom Teacher/Integrated Lesson Plans for Physical Education - 0 views

  •
The Classroom Teacher/Integrated lesson idea area has been designed to meet the needs of classroom teachers that desire to use physical activity to teach academic content. The content can be taught in the classroom or outside in an outdoor play area. Although this section is written for classroom teachers it is also appropriate for physical education teachers who wish to teach integrated content as well.

This site is really nice because it has options for all grades, K-12. There are over 300 lesson guides provided for teachers to use. All of the lesson guides are designed to meet national health curriculum standards. The site also provides several assessment strategies in order to assess what you have taught. I think sometimes it might be harder to find health lessons so this website is probably very helpful for health educators.

Discovery Education Web2014 : Web 2.0 Tools - Community - 0 views

  •
XPrize-Community-building and collaboration are two defining aspects of Web 2.0. A range of tools enable teachers and students to communicate, collaborate and share work. Some, like Edmodo, are designed specifically for educators. This Twitter-like tool lets you create custom mini-communities for classes, clubs, parents, etc and push out assignments, reminders and updates. Others, like GoogleDocs, are for general use but conducive to inter- and intra-school collaboration-in real time. All are easy to use. Case in point: a wiki-the Hawaiian word for "quick"-can be set up in 5 minutes! According to the website.

I chose this as my Educational site. This has several games designed to reach all the grade levels in elementary. A site like this will benefit not only the teacher but the students as well. Depending on what grade I teach in the future, I could use this for as low as Kindergarden or as high as the 5th grade. For Kindergarden and 1st grade, they have a game where the student needs to help out a monkey to put the days of the week in order. The New York Times featured this site as an award-winning games and apps, which is pretty cool.

Educational Games (2): This website contains games for students K-5, featuring a variety of topic areas. These games were created or approved by certified school teachers and are free to use. They can be used on the computer or on a device such as an iPad, etc. I see myself using this as a parent of young children more than in the classroom as I plan to teach at the secondary level; however, I found the website to be very appealing for kids and the games are fun and engaging.

  •
This website, like other educational game websites, has a whole array of games based on grade level. I really like how each game has the standards that it aligns with. Again, I would allow my students to play this to help strengthen certain content area skills. I might encourage parents to allow students to play at home.
  •
I have used this website before, but I really like it, because there are so many different levels and topics to choose from. A lot of the games have challenges, so they can work toward beating their score and getting to the next level. I would use this during centers, so I could have a small amount of IPads or laptops that they could work on.
  •
This website would be good for different strategies, puzzles, and games. This will help with math and reading. I would use this for help for students.
  •
