Game-Icons.net - 3 views

  •
An excellent resource for icons to use when making games. They are great as placeholders, but are also viable as permanent solutions and are completely free to use as long as credit is given.
  •
    Those are so good!

Weapon Shop de Omasse - 2 views

  •
More of a rhythm game with RPG elements, but you play as a shop keeper who makes items based on requests of the heroes who visit your shop
  •
Rhythm. Crafting. RPG. What a crazy combination!

List of the EdgebeeStudios games on Kongregate. These include Critter Forge, Sorcery Quest and Sword & Potions 1 & 2. Some of the best "big idea" games on Kongregate, IMHO.

HabitRPG | Your Life The Role Playing Game - 0 views

  •
I mentioned HabitRPG in a previous Wednesday night meeting. It's a "gamified" to-do list. I've been using it for everything from remembering to drink more water to getting specific tasks done on my game. It's been one of the best, most consistent motivators that I've ever found for encouraging good habits and discouraging bad. The mobile interface is a bit wonky, but they're working on it. The web interface is really the best way to manage it. I recommend the mobile mostly for logging completed tasks.  One nice feature of the game is the wide community of others working on tasks. You can join parties and guilds, and work together with others to complete quests and challenges.

How Neal Stephenson Is Helping To Make Snow Crash's Metaverse A Reality - 0 views

  •
Neal Stevenson has always be WAY ahead of his time. He's working on something called "Magic Leap" now. Here's a quote from him;"...it's going to demand a new way of thinking about what a game is [and] what content is..." Looking forward to more.

Here's the blog I mentioned at meeting #14. This guy plays and reviews board games that can be played solo. Pretty interesting.

I want to post this here for 2 reasons:  1. It's an neat idea of what you can do with custom printed dice from The Game Crafter, and  2. I want to buy it someday soon, but I keep forgetting what it's called.

Can't wait to get some time to play this one.
  •
Yes; I've added it to my wishlist. Sadly, the kotaku review was a bit lukewarm on the story. Said the art was (obviously) gorgeous, and the gameplay was solid, but that the story dragged. I'll still end up playing it though.
  •
It's definitely worth a play. One of my favorite games I've found on Steam. It's my favorite genre (TRPGs) and has a story that was solid. It's also really challenging.
