  • Over the past years Prysmian has been investing in the construction of the Vila Velha plants for umbilicals and flexible pipes with the aim of diversifying and further expanding its activities in the market of technology and products for the OG&P industry. The flexible pipes plant has complemented the umbilical plant, opened in 2007, and the addition of flexible pipes to its product range has enabled Prysmian to offer the OG&P industry a comprehensive range of SURF products (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines).   • In 2013, Thailand will see the start of a massive infrastructure investment programme designed to enhance international connectivity and competitiveness and boost regional development ahead of the ASEAN Economic Community to be launched by 2016. According to the Thai  government, 55 projects worth $76.27 billion are set to be executed by 2020, with $3.36 billion allocated for 2013.

China - Guangxi Nanguo Copper's copper smelting project has been approved by experts - 0 views

    It has been reported that Chinese Guangxi Nanguo Copper Co. Ltd.'s 150,000t/y copper smelting project was approved by experts on 10th June 2011. The project will be built in Guangxi-ASEAN Youth Industrial Park in Fusui County of Chongzuo City at a cost of RMB3.6B. However, before development is allowed to proceed, approval is required from the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China. A decision is expected to be announced in the imminent future.
