Copying and pasting the PATH of AI trainz? - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • Search for "copy" on the DLS and you find the Copy Commands From (KUID2:192081:1:6). Search for "schedule" and you will find the Schedule Library (KUID2:192081:12:4) along with a few others that may interest you. Make sure that TRS2004 is ticked under the Trainz Versions. Hope that is what you were looking for.
  • For those interested, I downloaded "Copy Commands From" and "Schedule Library" from the Download Station into TRS2009. In Surveyor, open "Edit Sessions Rules" (top left of screen, looks like #), select "Driver Command" from the menu, then Edit. Place a tick against "Copy Commands From". Close this menu. Now click "Add", and add "Schedule Library". Select this and set up the path as as for a normal portal. Give it a name, eg Path1 I'm using Central Portal Control (because it will emit a consist immediately). Open Central Portal Control. Add a consist and driver. Now for the path select Copy Command/Insert/from Library/Path1. Repeat for other consists from this portal. Easy !~! The same procedure can be used for a portal (Surveyor, "?", click on portal) if Central Portal Control is not used. Thanks again. Phil

Recommended routes? - Page 2 - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • Not to sure why the routes you are downloading have so many "missing assets". I rarely have this problem. One solution might be to change your settings in CMP. In CMP go to FILE - SETTINGS - MICELLANEOUS and untick "Suppress Asset Warning in Trainz" Make sure "Automatically commit" is ticked also. Next time you try an run a route that you know has missing assets, make sure you are connected to the internet. Before the route loads you should get a screen that give you the opportunity to "find missing assets". Click on that and your system will open CMD and try and find the missing assets. If those missing assets are on the download station it should find them, and you should be able to download them. If they not on the download station/CMP you will then have to try and find them on third party sites. Which can be very frustrating.............. Cheers, Mac.
  • The small G&D is mine. I don't remember if I put a run around in Daphetid. I don't think so because the prototype didn't have one, and there's no turntable up there anyway. I assure you, if you put some track there for a runaround, you won't hurt my feelings. Enjoy yourself. If you download a layout and you don't like it, you can delete it in Content Manager. You should also get Trainz Object. It works great for TRS04. I'm not sure how I lived without it. Click on my link below and check out my toys. I also did the Minato Railway, which was the first Japanese prototype on the DLS. We didn't have nearly as much Japanese content back then, but I think it came out okay. I'm also still fond of the Furuya layout and Makatini Junction. (both fictional) Claude
  • c. a centerpiece of all but the Mad River route is the 16 portals and the opportunities they give for introducing plenty of challenge in operations against a steady movement of trains that have priority over yours.
  • ...2 more annotations...
  • I find the Niddertalbahn one of the best routes made for the simulator.
  • "Ffestiniog Railway." Narrow gauge, very enjoyable to operate.

random portal train selection - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • Well yes. Central Portal Control lets the portal select a consist at random from a list that you provide when setting up the portal instructions. It will also emit in sequence if you so desire.
  • Likewise Portal Basic - default 'Emit Train' condition is a random train from an inputed list.
  • I use Portal Timetable Rule KUID2: 61392:2002:1
  • ...1 more annotation...
  • Both Portal Control options work well. You can make life much easier by also using the Schedule Library available from the JS Trainz Rules Factory (among many other very useful utilities). The Library enables schedules or part schedules to be named, saved and recalled. Saving much tedious repetition in setting up individual train schedules. Chris

trigger rule for junction switch - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • For anyone interested in this issue, the above solution actually does NOT work as intended. More on this in this thread: http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=30085 I did however solve the bridge-signaling problem in another way, it's posted here: http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=30147 __________________

Two or more triggers, triggered in order? - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • Two or more triggers, triggered in order? How do I make two or more triggers work in order? So you could define the direction a train has to go over triggers to set a junction..

Portals puzzle - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • The alternative (if you must have that particular make up of train) is to investigate the rules that are available on the DLS. If I remember correctly, either the Central Portal Control (CPC) or UnPortal Rule can create a train at a trackmark without using a portal.

Splitting a train automatically - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • Ive been doing this for years, dont use a trigger as another train can sometimes set it off. You need a spare driveable asset (I use a car parked in the station car park)

What is the best way to deal with this? (Single Track and Passing Sidings) - Trainz Dis... - 0 views

  • Where the green dots are signals, and track direction markers are the yellow arrows. Make sure you have enough space for the longest train that will run before the first signal in the loop, this will stop a train being held at that signal from blocking the exit from the opposite track... Edit; if this is for overtaking then you will have to use triggers, i'd suggest...

Commands when there are no suitable trackmarks - Trainz Discussion Forums - 0 views

  • I'm aware that someone created an 'invisible wagon' to trigger level (grade) crossings. If it's freely available that might be an alternative. It's KUID2: 209453:99991:1 on the DLS
