National Science Teachers Association - 0 views

  •
Article gives teachers tips and advice to motivate and encourage students in a culturally diverse classroom where science may not be a highly valued subject to students.
  •
I would use this in the classroom by having students actively do science and have them share what they found with the class. This would set a foundation to show them they can be successful in science and can motivate them to learn proficiency in science. Once they know they're good at something they'll put more time and effort into developing that skill.

It also gives you conversation starter tips on what to say to your children to keep them safe online. There are also videos you can watch about internet safety and the importance of keeping personal information private.

Outstanding site! Too bad I didn't have this my first year. I'm bookmarking it and using anyway. It has how to incorporate technology into your classroom, grade specific activities, links to get science apps, blogs from other teachers. There's a lot of information on the page and many links to follow. If you're looking for ideas or want to revise your current methods whether classroom management or incorporating new techniques and/or technology this site would be a great place to start.
