  •
One strategy for teaching science concepts is through the use of student developed newsletters. This approach involves students in the learning process as they research information, write articles, and present these articles in an individual or class newsletter format. This newsletter project helps students improve their writing skills as they learn how to write in science.

Good article. I had spent some time working as volunteer at a Title 1 school and they had iPads in most of the classes. I thought it was interesting that in a school that has kids from low income families that a lot of the schoolwork was done with technology, considering that many of them have the same struggles as mentioned in this article.

Free Technology for Teachers: 5 Tools to Create and Administer Quizzes Online - 0 views

  •
I thought this was an awesome article, because it tells you five tools that teachers can use to create quizzes online. I don't know about you, but to me giving a quiz online sounds ten times cooler and more fun for students than a plan old paper quiz in class. I think this is a great way to use technology to give a quiz to students especially on homework reading. That way as a teacher you can save time in class that can be used for further learning.
