Great tool for "instant" interaction among students that have technology -- or for the teacher if you quick want some materials to "hang" together so you can share them. 

We will be using this this document for completion of the technology enhanced UBD Unit Plan. I will explain the assignment on Oct. 11. Cue questions related to the six thinking skills in Bloom's Taxonomy are purposely constructed to ensure students are stimulated to respond at all levels of the cognitive domain, especially the higher levels. Students may be asked to respond through quick writes, learning logs, tests, creative writing that answers the six levels of prompts, role-audience-format-topic (RAFT) activities, or other writing or speaking activities.

Math education has not kept up with technology--especially with Web 2.0 tools, which have the potential to transform and expand learning beyond the classroom and into kids' social and recreational lives. What can be done, and what free resources are available to educators to help make a transition possible?

This list of digital story telling tools has some new ones in it. I've found these very useful for asking students to represent something they've learned. For instance, in an Ed Psych course I had students choose one concept and create a children's story about it. Just as easily could be about concepts in physics, biology, math etc.

This is a short video taken at the ISTE 2012 conference that provides an overivew of the purpose and materials found in the Visual Assessment Wiki.

This wiki will be previewed on Oct. 11 and will provide the background information for creating and/or revising one assessment that includes an image(s) that require learners to respond to open-ended questions.

There are many new 'tools' or websites that take advantage of the higher speed and bandwidth of today's Internet.

The Biology Corner is a resource site for biology and science teachers. It contains a variety of lessons, quizzes, labs, web quests, and information on science topics. You can find lessons related to biology topics in the links listed under "topics" on the sidebar. Topics include: Ecology, Genetics, Anatomy, Cells, Scientific Method, and Evolution.

Complete resources for PBL, K-14: publications, online tools, professional development, and research. Website resources include 'how-to' videos and example projects, a Do-It-Yourself project planning tutorial, links to online project libraries, useful downloads of project planning and management forms, and a forum for posting questions to experts and fellow practitioners.
