This reminds me of some of the activities we did with Diane Aldis to translate critical thinking about dance/art to STEM activities. I think there are some well articulated strategies here to hold on to!

We will be using this this document for completion of the technology enhanced UBD Unit Plan. I will explain the assignment on Oct. 11. Cue questions related to the six thinking skills in Bloom's Taxonomy are purposely constructed to ensure students are stimulated to respond at all levels of the cognitive domain, especially the higher levels. Students may be asked to respond through quick writes, learning logs, tests, creative writing that answers the six levels of prompts, role-audience-format-topic (RAFT) activities, or other writing or speaking activities.

This wiki will be previewed on Oct. 11 and will provide the background information for creating and/or revising one assessment that includes an image(s) that require learners to respond to open-ended questions.

If you are looking for a virtual group that is focused on the first 5 years of practice check out this one hosted by Edutopia. The New Teacher Connections group " . . . is designed to allow new teachers and veterans alike to connect and share that sense of community that is so important in the first years." I think this is a fanatastic "brick" that should be used when building the first layer of "your PLN wall." I love metaphors

This post suggest five educator "Be-Attitudes" related to being a connected educator. This 5 "be attitudes" are directed at new teachers. I am interested in what people think of this "Be-Attitudes."

Check out the videos. I think these would be great for students who need more time to process. I have some issues with the videos but they are great models of what can be done.
