The research base for TBI is broad ranging from epidemiological studies to qualitative studies. The author of this article believes that we can do more to help our patients than the evidence can ever support. She believes that OT needs to move from the evidence-based philosophy to the evidence-informed practice to best integrate OT clinical expertise and research findings and to best serve clients with TBI.
