This is an RCT for an OT falls prevention treatment program. In this study, an OT completed a home assessment of each participant and then the participants were randomly assigned to groups in which a home mod program was compared to a home exercise program. The results indicate that the home mod program was more successful at reducing falls.

This is a RCT for a fall prevention program. Basically this RCT examined a multi-disciplinary approach to preventing falls. The researches found significant reduction in falls via multidisciplinary approach in this study.

This is an article I read awhile ago about sexuality and occupational therapy. The basic premise is that authors found that OTs acknowledge sex as an area of occupation that is under-served with the primary reasons being lack of education in the area.

As the title states, this is a systematic review of the effectiveness of mirror therapy for UE hemiperisis post stroke. I actually read this at my first rotation and was able to use mirror therapy when treating stroke patients. Form my experience, much depends on consistency.

This article examined the effectiveness of community-based occupational therapy for patients with dementia. The results indicated that community-based OT for dementia patients increased independent functioning in patients and decreased care burden among caregivers.
