There will be an open call for theBrighton Beach Memoirs at the Boiler Room Theatre (230 Franklin Rd., Bldg Six, Franklin) on March 21st at 2 PM. Unlike their usual by-appointment audition process, all auditionees need to attend the open call at 2 PM.  Actors will read from the script in groups; no need to prepare any audition material. Call backs will be held the same day. Bring (2) copies each of your headshot and resume.  The show is scheduled to run My 7th through the 29th.

Auditions for Pull-Tight's Father of the Bride will be held Sunday and Monday, April 11 and 12 at 7:00 pm at the Pull-Tight Theatre.  There are 13 roles available. 1 man age 40-55, 3 women age 40-55, 2 women age 18-25, 2 men age 18-25, and 2 boys age 12-15. There are additional smaller roles for men or women of any age.

Auditions will be held Friday, March 19, 7-9 PM and Saturday, March 20, 9-11 PM. Call Backs will be held Monday 7-8:30 PM. Daytime auditions may be by appointment. The auditions will be held at the Heron Center, located at the Tennessee Children's Home (TCH) at 5350 Main Street Spring Hill. 12 men and 7 women ages 18 to 60+. Rehearsals begin after Easter. Performances are scheduled for May 6-8. Scathe is a play with music to be performed as an Outdoor Historical Drama. It concerns the civil war, a love triangle, conspiracy and murder. New scam involving phony "forensic audits" of mortgage loans is the latest variation on loan modification scams. An article in the Sacramento Bee this week, reported that California Attorney General Jerry Brown warned California's distressed homeowner's to refrain from forensic review of their mortgage loan and lender's practices. Jerry Brown issued a press release stating that these loan audits are nothing more than loan modification scams that are taking advantage of people's desperation in the midst of the nation's persisting economic troubles. He joined with the California Department of Real Estate and the State Bar of California to warn homeowners who face the danger of foreclosure, to avoid such scams because they offer no help towards saving their home from foreclosure. The Latest among Many Loan Modification Scams Last year, the California Department of Real Estate investigated more than 2,000 cases of loan modification scam and from that number, 350 scam operations were ordered to terminate their illegal activity according to the attorney general's office. According to the article, the spokesman for the attorney general, Evan Westrup, explained that "It's the latest phony foreclosure-relief 'service' by an industry that continues to be long on promises and short on results…another way to get homeowners in distress to pay for services that ultimately aren't helping or providing the relief they need." The "Forensic Audit' Loan Modification Scam This particular scam entices homeowners through newspaper advertisements, as well as radio and television spots. The hook is to get homeowners to believe that they can find errors, improper documentation, or outright illegal activity in the way the mortgage was originated or within the loan itself. Supposedly, with such information, the homeowner will have sufficient leverage to fight the lender in the home loan-modification process with the hope of receiving assistance in keeping

"Fellow Koreans, disgraceful incidents have recently happened to my family and people surrounding me and caused so much anxiety," he said. "I bow my head and extend my apology for causing anxiety to the people due to these incidents," said Lee, who is in the final year of his presidency. He said he would "take full responsibility" for the scandals but added he would continue to carry out his duties as president. His brother Lee Sang Deuk, an influential former legislator seen as the president's mentor, is being detained on corruption charges. Prosecutors alleged that he received 600 million won (524,000 dollars) from two troubled savings banks to help them avoid regular audits. His detention this month was the latest in a string of corruption scandals involving people close to the president.
