I like this link cause it gives us a visual on how the exercises should be performed. Its also a great video to recommend to COPD pts. Often times our clients may forget what we taught them during their session this link would be great for them to refer back to.

I posted this link awhile back on my Pinterest, I really enjoy what all this website has to offer us as future practitioners. It literally has everything from information that we can use as practitioners and information that we can give clients. This website addresses pain, ADLs, assessments, certain dx (cancer, diabetes, you name it its probably on here). I advice everyone check this site out. I feel like this site has come up before in another course but maybe I just used it.

I really like these 5 tips on how to improve posture. Even though these are exercises I believe it would be a great idea to give clients information about these exercises to improve posture when they are away from our services.

I love this game is helps the development of visual perception skills, fine motor skills, and sensory processing, crossing midline, eye-hand coordination and so much more. I think it works for adults as well as children.

There are so many ways out there to improve fine motor skills, but not all of them are fun. I love almost all of these ideas.

This video runs through some exercise that would be good for a person who had surgery for breast cancer. We have been discussing cancer in class and I felt that this would be beneficial for us to know because breast cancer is not that rare!

So we have learned that hospice is for people who have limited time left, and this video describes hospice a little bit more than what was mentioned in class. The one thing that stuck out to me was the part that life in hospice is not about quantity, but instead it is about quality!

I think that a given sexuality questionnaire, as mentioned in the video, can help OT practitioners who are uncomfortable initiating the topic with clients.

I find this website to be very inspiring! It was created by an OT who advocates for the use of dance in therapy.

The OT in the video allows the viewer to understand how it would be if they were in an oncology ward. I liked this video because I tend to only have sad thoughts on this particular subject, however, I like how positive the OT is in this video because that is the type of mind set an OTA would need if they were working with a client under these circumstances. Also, the video goes over what an OTA would be focusing on for treatment.

I LOVE this design. This would offer the client in the W/C more of a "we are going on a walk together" feel instead of a "Getting pushed on a walk" feel. Person first!

This treadmill was originally made by NASA to help prepare astronauts for space. I was looking up videos on modalities and this popped up! Even though the talker in the video is a PT I thought it would benefit us to know what technology is out there. This video describes what the treadmill is for and how it works. My husband actually had this done when he had a thousand pound beam fall on his foot and it definitely helped him go back to his typical gait.

The production company behind "Keeping up with the Kardashians" and other reality television staples will debut a new documentary series following young adults with Down syndrome. The six-episode series "Born This Way" will air on A&E Network starting Dec. 8 at 10 p.m. ET.----- I am anxious to see this show! I hope they portray it in a way that isn't dramatic and fake like all the other reality tv shows. I feel this show has to opportunity to show people more into the life of someone who lives with a disability! I know I'll be watching...anyone else?
