A Multidisciplinary Minor Due to the success of programs such as FIRST, VEX and Botball, many students have had experience with robots and know how fun and cool they can be. However, did you know that robots are also great for making connections between computing, engineering, science, and mathematics?

The Robotics & Mechanisms Laboratory at Virginia Tech is a facility for graduate and undergraduate robotics research and education with an emphasis on studying novel mobile robot locomotion strategies. Our research interests are in the area of Robot Locomotion and Manipulation, Kinematics and Mechanisms, and Autonomous Systems.
