Great pedagogy tool to help you design enhanced learning experiences for your students with the iPad. Apps are recommended for each level of Bloom's Taxonomy along with suggested learning activities. From the article: "I have added 62 iPad apps to the wheel and put them where they could serve the pedagogy. These are not necessarily the best app for the job and many of the apps can be used in different realms but it is a good start. I hope it helps you rethink the iPad's use in Learning and Teaching… it is not about the tool nor the app … it's all about the students."

Excellent article about why emphasizing effort and behavior qualities has a powerful impact on student learning, motivation, and attitudes towards school.

A concise look at the role homework may play in student learning and academic achievement. Two key quotes: "Our results hint that maybe homework is not being used as well as it could be," Maltese said. "The results from this study imply that homework should be purposeful," Tai said, "and that the purpose must be understood by both the teacher and the students."

An excellent article by former teacher and neurologist Judy Willis about how our brains learn that also includes several practice strategies teachers can implement into their instruction to promote engagement and "deeper learning." From the article: "You don't mean to bore students. In fact, sometimes you're downright interesting-the students are engaged, the buzz in the room is palpable, and even the hesitant students are asking questions. Informative quick-read article about how to best use technology for learning in the classroom.

This teacher chose to have his students create RSA Animate-style videos as "an easy way to make them visualize their information, make connections, and re-tell their facts in a story that had a very tight story line that flowed.  All skills that would transfer nicely to any traditional essay." He really emphasizes the preparation and planning stages, which is great. He also talks about the process, which is useful.  All said, a great resource.
