This article talks about taking to task the lobbyists of Chicago politics. Lobbying and Lobbyist are a big part of the political system, but also are the reason people are skeptical when it comes to politics.

This is the reason I don't see myself going into politics. I have friends who are politicians and have been blasted like this. I'm proud to say that none of those friends have stooped to these tactics. Unfortunately though, when mud is being slung, it's difficult to get out of the trench if you don't throw mud back out. Our society seems to see people who don't fight back as cowards or that they have something to hide, but if they do fight back, they are low.

Wow, I was really surprised by this article. Some lengths that politicians go to in order to look better than one another is absolutely ridiculous. Anyone who knows about the legislation Obama supports can clearly see that high school sex ed and kindergarden sex ed are nothing similar; teaching a kid nothing more than "good touch bad touch" would essentially be the end of it for the younger kids.

An article about using power and politics in a constructive way!

I like that she makes the statement about Congress needing to be diverse; that doesn't mean all women, it means a more equal mix.

I see a couple of ethical questions: 1. Is this improper censorship of websites or justified ceasing of sites that may be acting illegally? 2. Is it okay to apply a broad net that may catch more innocent fish than is justified?

In a ceremony in Oslo that repeatedly invoked gender equality and the democratic strivings of the Arab Spring, the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize was presented to three female activists and political leaders on Saturday for "their nonviolent struggle for the safety of women and for women's rights" as peacemakers.

If it's true that they only pulled the ads because the show would cause controversy, I'm unimpressed; the mucky-mucks at Lowe's certainly aren't uncanny outlaws.

A step in the right direction??

This is a news artical showing that even what seems like a small decision about using resorces that are at hand, can be a lapse in ethical judgment.

Same story, different day. Is there any one in congress that has the moral ethic to work honestly?

I know I am going all political, but this is important stuff. I realy did plan to voice my disgruntaled opinion on how sports programs are treated as if they are above the law is big colleges, but the clean water act was brought up in one of our discussions is I changed my mind.

I don't know how the speakers should have handled it. What do you think would be appropriate?

I agree with the two people in the video. It would have been easy for the speaker to quickly say that "even if we don't agree with this gentleman, there's no need to be disrespectful." This would be a minimum in my mind. I also think that even if they were booing the repeal of DADT as the male speaker mentioned, it was still incredibly inappropriate and childish for the people in the audience to boo.

This talks about all the fringe benefits that politicians get, I know every job has its perks, but I think their needs to be limits

This news article is about the U.S. Postal Service. The rest of the country is having to cut back and change their way of running things but for the post office to make those same needed changes, Congress has to vote on it.
