This one appealed to me the most out of the ones I looked at. Thought it was to the point and gave good, applicable examples. Plus, I really liked that they included further examples that we could look up on our own.

Faculty CV Website Example - 0 views

  •
I have noticed a trend with universities. There seems to be more systems that support a CV format. This does away with a professor compiling their information in a separate document. I know the University of Texas at Arlington has a system called Mertis. This allows for their faculty members to input information instead of a CV. Has anyone else noticed this? I wanted to post this website one because it has the sections, but is a more condensed version.

Santa Clara University Report on Work-Life Balance Study - 0 views

  •
This is a report on a study that was conducted on the work-life balance at SCU. As expected, the study includes surveys and interviews. I am impressed that an administration would care so much that they would spend the resources on conducting a study on w0rk-life balance.

When Enough Is (Good) Enough: A Review of 'Professor Mommy' - 0 views

  •
This is a book review of 'Professor Mommy' which discusses a work life balance for women working in academia. There are women I know who have children and go to graduate school. It is difficult and I couldn't imagine leaving a newborn at home to go to class/work/research. This was different from the other work life articles I have been reading (which are aimed for most populations).

GDP per capita (current US$) | Data | Table - 0 views

I posted this after looking at OECD's Better Life Index in my previous post. After some quick research, per capita GDP seems to be the most widely accepted measure of national productivity. It would be interesting to crosswalk productivity with life satisfaction.

5 Tips for Better Work-Life Balance - 0 views

    Work_Life Balance All

Another quick list of work-life balance ideas. I use the early wake-up plan myself and find that those 2 or 3 hours before the rest of the family awakes can be really productive. I also like to exercise at mid-day while most of my colleagues eat lunch. I find it easier to eat lunch piece-meal before and after my workout. I think it keeps my energy more even throughout the day.
