About LIGHT After eight years of research and development, UC San Diego will debut a novel program this September, called LIGHT (Light Induced Guided Healing Therapy) through its Centers for Integrative Health. Developed by Paula Marie Jackson and Tom Thudiyanplackal, LIGHT is an evidence-based protocol that empowers the individual with a self-care approach to enhancing self-efficacy, which is an individual's belief in his or her innate ability to achieve goals.
