BAHAWALNAGAR: A man was killed and three others were wounded in a gun attack on a sit-in staged by Pakistan People's Party (PPP) against local police on Monday.
At least 78 people were killed and over 140 more injured on Wednesday night when a train derailed just outside of the Spanish city Santiago de Compostela. Initial reports suggest the train may have been travelling too fast.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister's advisor on aviation Shujaat Azeem Saturday summoned management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Pakistan Airline Pilots' Association (PALPA) representatives as dispute between them deepened. Passengers are facing immense problems as so far 51 flights of national flag carrier were cancelled as a result of the dispute, PIA spokesman said.
BEIRUT: Russian jets launched a fourth day of air raids in Syria Saturday, a monitor said, hitting the Islamic State group's main stronghold after claims Moscow was instead targeting moderate rebel factions. KARACHI: Two traffic constables were killed in what appears to be a targeted attack in Karachi on Tuesday, SAMAA reports. The firing incident took place in Hyderi area of the city. According to sources, unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on traffic police constables at Hyderi, leaving them critically wounded.
