ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday declared an independent candidate, Riaz-ul-Haq winner from NA-144 by securing 85,714 votes in by-election. According to ECP, an independent candidate Chaudhry Riazul Haq got 85,714 votes while Ali Arif Chaudhry of Pakistan Muslim League (N) achieved 45,199 votes in NA-144.
LAHORE: Awami Muslim League leader and senior politician Sheikh Rashid on Sunday asked citizens of Lahore to vote for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Aleem Khan in by-election for NA-122. Addressing a PTI rally as part of electoral campaign in Dongi Ground in Samanabad, the firebrand politician urged the people of Lahore to "wake up" and save the country from loot and plunder.

LAHORE: Maintaining his winning streak, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PMLN) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Sunday defeated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Abdul Aleem Khan by a very close margin in NA-122 (Lahore) by-election, Samaa reported. Unofficial results say Ayaz Sadiq got away with 73440 while Aleem Khan drew in 72043 votes from 284 polling stations.

LAHORE: Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Sunday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) was destined to win the election NA-122 by-poll as people would vote for real change and not the hollow slogans. Addressing a public gathering at National Bank Colony Samanabad, here, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan's roadshow politics had damaged the country's economy.
