ISLAMABAD: Ongoing dispute between pilots and national flag carrier continued as Pakistan Airline Pilots' Association (PALPA) Saturday refused to hold talks with management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Samaa reported. Prime Minister's advisor on aviation Shujaat Azeem had summoned management of PIA and PALPA representatives in Islamabad in a bid to end dispute.

KARACHI: From October 18 to 28, the Islamabad airport would remain closed for re-carpeting of runway from 1300 hrs to 1800 hrs every day, a PIA spokesman announced on Thursday. He said that because of this, the PIA has rescheduled all flights taking off or landing at Islamabad airport.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister's advisor on aviation Shujaat Azeem Saturday summoned management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Pakistan Airline Pilots' Association (PALPA) representatives as dispute between them deepened. Passengers are facing immense problems as so far 51 flights of national flag carrier were cancelled as a result of the dispute, PIA spokesman said.

KARACHI: The dispute between Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Pakistan Airline Pilots Association (PALPA) entered seventh day on Wednesday, as scheduled flights continued to face long delays in departure, Samaa reported. According to Samaa correspondent, Lahore-Karachi (PK-315), Sukkur-Karachi (PK-541), Madina-Karachi (PK-747) and Abu Dhabi-Lahore (PK-268) were delayed.

Samaa has obtained a video in which an aged man is seen threatening PALPA President Amir Hashmi with grave consequences if he compromised on principled stance of protesting PIA workers against proposed privatization of the national flag carrier.
