KARACHI: Former Senator of Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Faisal Raza Abidi, who was arrested and shifted to jail on remand last week in a case of illegal weapons' possession, has been granted bail by a local court, Samaa reported Thursday.
KARACHI: An anti terrorism court (ATC) Monday sentenced an activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to jail for 19 years, Samaa reported. Chaudhry Shujaat, the convicted MQM activist, was charged with criminal possession of weapons and explosive material. Last year the government launched a major crackdown against criminal elements in the largest city of the country.
