This website was very helpful when I was taking the Digital Photo class. It has a lot of different tutorials on ways you can make your picture look better. You can make a photo look old or take something away from a photo that you don't really like. It is a great way to make your picture better and higher quality.

I used this website when I was writing a research paper about pollution in Argentina. This article talks about the Matanza- Riachuelo river and gives a lot of good information about how it has been polluted over the years.

Autodesk Maya is a 3d modeling program used by high level professionals. It is fairly simple to use and Autodesk offers special programs for students to get a free, non-commercial licence.

Pixel Prospector is a site that finds and collects indie games and information about how to make your own video games. It has a great number of lists that detail different game design tools that are free for everyone to use.

TIGSource (The Indie Game Source) is a site similar to PixelProspector. What makes it stand out is its fantastic community of people interested in making and testing indie games. People post art, programming and even game demos on the fourms for players to give feedback.

Polygon is a gaming news website. It is unbiased for the most part which makes it a very handy source of news in the gaming world. It also has a large number of video articles which are very easy to watch while working on something else as they usually rely mostly on just audio.

Unity is a game development studio designed to be easy to use but at the same time, very powerful. There are many features that new users can use right off the bat such as lighting and sound zones. These features can also be customized to be as fantastic or simple as the user wants them to be.

Sfxr is an amazingly simple program that is designed to pump out basic sound effects for video games. Users have the option to hit the random button to generate a sound under a specific category (such as Jump or Explode) or they can customize the sound right down to the shape of the wave.

Paint.NET is free image editing program that works very well for making small, pixel art tiles. This is very useful when making a game in an engine that supports tile-sets because they can condense many different tiles into one small image file and save space for your game.

I plan on using this site for purchasing some equipment such as a small torch and some metal/ gems. I also find this site useful because it contains many tutorial videos that I have used to learn new techniques and find ideas for projects.
