Fotobabble is a free service that allows you to quickly turn a picture into an audio picture story. To use Fotoabble just upload an image to the site, and allow the site to access your computer's microphone, and start recording your voice. You can comment on your photo, explain what's happening in your photo, or tell a story related to your photo. When you've completed your recording you can save it in your Fotobabble account, contribute to a public gallery and or embed it into your blog. Have students upload images from lab experiments or field trips and then talk about them. Have student define vocabulary words and offer images. Have students describe an image of a painting or some other piece of art.

This website is a very good resource for people who aren't sure how they want to structure a story. It gives you many tips and explanations for why you need to do that specific thing. In the tips it gives you a map for how a story should be written and how to do it effectively.

This is definitely going to be useful during NaNoWriMo. Is anyone else taking on NaNoWriMo?

This article explains how to keep a story captivating, what each character wanted, and how to not be too confusing. It gives a good sense of what would be expected to not create a dull story.

This literally connects to no "project" but it is a common product, so... This is part one of an amateur horror story. I am making a Prezi on it.

Gallant re traces the development of humanity and many different creation stories which are linked in seemingly impossible ways. He emphasizes the theme of life coming the ocean which is a common thread throughout so many creation stories. What was really important to my studies from the sections of the book that I read was the theme of human observation. There is a strong idea that whether it be scientific or religious and fantastical stories of creation, all come from humans depiction of what is around them, and is an attempt to understand how they got to where they are.

This is a compilation of creation stories from small tribes around the world. From Navajo people of the southwestern U.S. to remote tribes traced to the island of Madagascar. This was a tremendous source to get me started on understanding the variety of creation myths, and seeing the commonalities in a very succinct form. The book is also well illustrated which makes it more fun, and easy to read.

On this tumblr page it lists tons of writing prompts. The page helps give you create story to write for class, when you don't know what to write about. The page even has a picture with each prompt to help you visualize the story.

This website gave me information that I never knew. It said to worry about chapters after you were finished writing the piece. This tip was made so that you focus on writing your story and what you need to put in instead of worrying about what part goes into what chapter. This website helped me figure out how to do that and it was incredibly helpful for where I am right now in my book.

This website helped me figure out what type of perspective I wanted to write my novel in. The website explained what types of stories each point of view went with. It also told me how to write in that perspective and what style each point of view was like.

This website helped me learn how to write dialogue smoothly and flow-like like in a movie or in a real life conversation. It told me what to do and what not to do which was helpful. I learned that dialogue sets the character's mood towards another character in the story and that was something that I wanted to learn more on. I think I expanded my knowledge of writing dialogue by finding this website!

This TED Talk really inspired me throughout my school research in history, french, and science. The idea of a "single story" that I learned about through this talk, forced me to search for different perspectives and different sources throughout my research in all of my classes.

I used this article because I was looking for some inspiration to write a play. Turns out, this website was the just the thing I needed. The random generators are really helpful when you can't think of something interesting for a character you are writing about. There are plot, character, title, and name generator included in this website. I used these generators to come up with character names and even some different interesting things about my characters. They are super helpful when you are stuck or your story needs a lift! This is very different from other sources I have use because it is not an article, but a generator. I would highly recommend this source!

This article is a personal story about the author's trip to Peru. It especially focuses on the deeper culture that most tourists may not notice, but this author especially sought out. It traces her journey from Lima, to Cusco, to Machu Picchu. I chose to read this article because I am applying to study abroad in Peru next year, and I wanted to know more about the culture. I liked this source because it gave a varied view of many components of Peruvian culture from food, to architecture, to what the people were like. It is definitely biased, however. The author seems to be in love with Peru and doesn't get into the challenges of immersing herself in the culture. I think I should read a few more reviews before hopping on the plane, but this article was definitely a good starting point. This source helped my learning by giving me a broad overview that I can now choose specific details from to research more thoroughly. Reading this article made me more eager to study abroad and did a great job "selling" the culture of Peru. However, it was written more from a traveler's perspective and didn't really show me what it would be like to live in Peru for an extended period of time.
