Manga University is site filled with tutorials on how to draw manga and anime. (Japanese comic book art and animation) It includes free tutorials for beginners and also premium tutorials for more advanced artists. Each tutorial is two to three short pages long and covers topics like how to draw eyes, mouths and faces.

This site offers options right at the beginning from six brochures that are electronically published. Each brochure covers a different topic such as breast cancer, eye disease, heart diseases, diabetes, stroke, or even HIV-AIDS. Then by clicking on one, it brings up a electronic site of the brochure that has information leading to that topic. Overall, very recommendable.

This documentary, book, and lifestyle has affected my life in a million ways. It completely opened my eyes to the connection between food and health and I highly recommend it to anyone, not just those who are labeled as "granola hippies" but to anyone interested in how they can be both healthy and informed.

I found this to be very interesting and eye-opening. It shows how repetitive hits to the head and concussions can cause lack of basic skills down the road.

This website included 25 tips on how to run a successful fundraiser in a school. Considering the Music Department hosts many fundraisers each year I decided that these tips could help me to evaluate what we are doing right and what changes we could make to become more successful. One idea I appreciated was to avoid doing the "small" fundraisers. While I had thought that any amount of money would be helpful, this site pointed out that parents and students begin to suffer from "fundraising fatigue" when they are asked to participate in multiple events. Also, although we have the same fundraisers every year, we are very bad about letting parents know at the beginning of the year the different fundraisers we will need help with. This website suggests to let parents and students know as soon as possible what the group will need their participation in. I thought this was a helpful website in because they presented their information in an eye-catching and a simply put way. Also, they would give a bullet point of helpful information, and then divulge further to explain their reasoning.

A wonderful organization that seeks to educate tourists about the dangers of volunteering in a foreign country. The primary mission of NGN is to return trafficked 'orphans' to their families, and expose the corruption around many so-called 'orphanages'. This was an eye-opening lesson for me, and one I hope to spread as far as I can.

This site really helped me understand how the limbic system was laid out. It shows diagrams of the limbic system, and detailed descriptions of what each of the parts do. It also describes how the limbic system influences the sympathetic nervous system, which is important in vigorous movements connected to preparing for danger, or fleeing. This is also known as the fight, flight, freeze, or fawn response, and the sympathetic nervous system will help by dilating large muscle blood vessels, dilating the eyes, and increasing heart rate.This source helped me understand the limbic system better and what roles it plays. This source is used in my brain portfolio, as it has a lot of great information.
