There is a growing momentum in education driven by a desire to share our practice and learn from our colleagues. Increasingly teachers are finding ways to break free of their classrooms and share their ideas. Collaborations in the interests of unlocking the collective potential of the profession are spreading within and importantly between schools. For many these collaborative endeavours and desires are satisfied by online communities but for many the possibility for a face to face conversation is more alluring.

Only those who have taught a class for a year, who have struggled with the challenges faced by students and who have shared in the moments of success will truly understand why we teach. Maybe that is why we seek out opportunities to gather and share what we do, to spend even a Saturday in the company of those who "get" what it is that we do and why we do it. Teaching is a beautiful thing to be a part.

This is an easy to use photo sharing website. Looks like it could be very useful for the classroom. A whole class could easily contribute to a single album by uploading from computer, emailing or sending mms via mobile phone. You simply provide the details of your customized URL and/or Yogile e-mail address. Email notification is sent to you when new photos are added.

A teacher created these for her classroom so that she could share Bloom's with her kids in different ways that would make their classroom fun, but also give them a different way of viewing the information. Here she is sharing her Bloomin' Tree. As she started making her Bloom's re-imagines, students started coming to her with ideas of how to display the information. Droplr Desktop is a tiny application for Mac OS X that aims at helping people share things easier. Droplr Desktop allows you to upload things to Droplr by either drag&drop on the menubar icon, drag&drop on the dock icon or using a system-wide keyboard key combination. Fumpr is a newly launched image hosting service that claims to be web's fastest image host. According to the site the images are served under .01 seconds on average. The site got a simple and visually appealing interface. No registration or email required. Simply choose the image you want to store with them and click the upload button. Once the image is uploaded you are given four different links to share it on the web. These include a separate link for sharing the image with friends, direct download, adding images to forum threads and embed code.
