The November 7 issue of Campus Technology includes an article highlighting the announcement that University of Akron in Ohio began implementing Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management, both hosted on Oracle Cloud Solutions for Education and Research. The article notes that the new technology is part of the university's Vision 2020 strategic plan to increase enrollment, improve the learning experience, and increase funding. The article also notes that East-West University (EWU) has implemented Oracle's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to help automate administrative processes and improve information management. The article includes comment from Susan Rzyczycki, assistant vice president applications services, University of Akron, who notes that the Oracle Cloud Solutions for Education and Research provided the university with an additional option for its strategic planning needs--while also preserving internal capabilities to focus on core competencies. The article also includes comment from Farid I. Muhammad, director of title III, East-West University, who notes that by selecting the Optimized Campus implementation model for Oracle's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, the university receive the benefits of Oracle's complete, integrated solutions that enable higher education institutions to adapt to the changing needs and demands of all their constituents, at an affordable cost.

The April 5 edition of NYU Local includes the following article highlighting New York University's registration system, Albert, which runs on PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.  The article notes that students are unsatisfied with Albert and find the system to be extremely slow.  The article includes comment from Roger Printup, registrar and director of student information systems, New York University, who notes that the administration has no plans to modify the registration program since it has proven to be reliable.

The March 27 edition of University Business includes the following article highlighting that colleges and universities across the United States are now benefiting from the integration between Oracle's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.0 and Oracle's PeopleSoft Human Capital Management 9.0 or 9.1.  The article notes that the integration provides seamless sharing of core person data - students, faculty, staff and alumni information - between Oracle's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Oracle's PeopleSoft Human Capital Management.

The October 28 edition of University Business included a press release announcing PeopleSoft Campus Solutions' new features for program-based enrollment and assessment. The new enrollment functionality enables institutions to improve student retention and timely degree completion. Additionally, the new assessment feature allows instructors to define and assess any type of learning activity and provide flexible structures for assigning and calculating marks and course goals.

The October 25 edition of eCampus News includes the following article covering new technologies ed-tech companies unveiled at EDUCAUSE 2013. The article highlights Oracle's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions' new program-based enrollment features, which aim to help colleges and universities improve retention and degree completion by guiding students through the enrollment process and helping them select the best classes, in the right sequence.
