Social Media for Teachers: Guides, Resources, and Ideas - 1 views

  •
Although students are evermore connected to the social web, many of these networks remain out-of-class digital playgrounds where students congregate. In a 2014 survey of 1,000 teachers, just one in five said they use social media regularly with students. Of course, it can be a challenge to incorporate social media into lessons.

Talk & Comment | Voice notes, Anywhere. - 1 views

  •
I use this app to leave multi-media feedback on some of my student's assignments. This Google app records your voice and copies a URL linked to your voice recording. You can then past it anywhere, link it to the URL (be sure to delete "(voice note)" at the end of the URL when linking. Then the student can just click on the URL and hear the feedback you leave for them.

Building a classroom community without machines - 0 views

This education trend teaches students how to interact without social media. In the exercise called "Living Facebook Project" students learn that "friend" is not just a button you click. I plan on trying this activity with my fourth grade class as a class building activity.
