Award: A $250 award, a plaque, and travel reimbursement to attend the Opening Ceremonies at ONS Congress. Purpose: To recognize and support achievements and involvement in oncology nursing health policy and advocacy.

To recognize and support excellence in patient/public education. Nominees for this award will be oncology nurses who are involved in offering creative public or patient education.

To honor individuals who are not otherwise eligible for membership, who have made significant contributions to oncology nursing, demonstrated interest and support in ONS, and exhibited conduct consistent with the mission and core values of ONS (Integrity, Innovation, Stewardship, Advocacy, Excellence, and Inclusiveness).

To recognize and support excellence in nurses engaged in cancer prevention and early detection.

To recognize and support excellence in nurses engaged in blood and marrow transplantation

The purpose of the Rose Mary Carroll-Johnson ONS Distinguished Award for Consistent Contribution to Nursing Literature is to recognize an individual who has made consistent and significant contributions to the oncology nursing literature. Nominees for this award will be oncology nurses who have had an impact on the profession, specifically by using the written word to share research findings, describe content basic to the care of patients with cancer, and support the professional development of colleagues.

Award: A $250 award, a plaque, and travel reimbursement to attend the Opening Ceremonies at ONS Congress. Purpose: The award recognizes an emerging oncology nurse leader who has made a difference in the oncology nursing profession at the local or regional level. As the award name implies, candidates should be at an early stage on the path of their leadership career.

Award: $500 certificate for ONS educational resources/publications donated to the recipient's employer institution. (No cash prize to the individual recipient), a plaque, and travel reimbursement to attend the Opening Ceremonies at ONS Congress. Purpose: To recognize a Registered Nurse (RN) (or equivalent) who has contributed to the improvement of cancer care in a country outside the United States.

Award: A $250 award, a plaque (team award), and travel reimbursement for one team member (t.b.d by the team) to attend the Opening Ceremonies at ONS Congress. Purpose: To recognize small teams (minimum of three, maximum of ten) for outstanding contributions within their workplace, in improving patient care, and/or making a difference in their community.

Award: A $250 award, a plaque, and travel reimbursement to attend the Opening Ceremonies at ONS Congress. Purpose: To recognize a frontline oncology nurse who demonstrates exceptional patient care through the use of evidence-based practices.

Award: A $2,000 award, a plaque, and travel reimbursement to attend the Opening Ceremonies at ONS Congress. The paper will be published in the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing. Purpose: To recognize and support excellence in clinical nursing practice. The lecture is presented at the ONS Annual Congress.

Award: A $2,000.00 award, a plaque, and travel reimbursement to attend the Opening Ceremonies at ONS Congress. The paper will be published in the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing. Purpose: This award was established to focus attention of the membership on quality-of-life issues in cancer care; describe the contributions of clinicians, educators, administrators, and researchers in oncology nursing to quality of life in cancer care; apply information related to quality of life to oncology nursing practice; and incorporate the philosophy of quality of life into all aspects of cancer care. The lecture is presented at the ONS Annual Congress.

Purpose: The purpose of the ONS State-of-the-Science Lectureship is to facilitate the advancement of oncology nursing science through the synthesis of current research on a specific cancer care symptom, outcome, or issue. The awardee is expected to:

Purpose: The Victoria Mock New Investigator Award is to recognize the contributions of new investigators in building a scientific foundation for oncology nursing practice. The award will be presented at the Opening Ceremonies at ONS Congress. The recipient will present his or her research results at the ONS Annual Congress. This award is supported by the ONS Distinguished Nurse Researcher Fund through the ONS Foundation.

The ENA Foundation and the American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA) have combined resources to offer this research grant. This grant provides funding for research that will advance the specialized practice of emergency nursing via the application of nursing informatics and the use of information technology in the emergency-care arena.  All relevant research topics will be considered. 

Welcome to the ENA Foundation research grant program.  The ENA Foundation was established in 1991 by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) as a national charitable organization.  The mission of the ENA Foundation is to provide educational scholarships and research grants in the discipline of emergency nursing.   The ENA Foundation has combined resources with Stryker to offer this industry supported research grant.  In 2014, the ENA Foundation will award one $5,000 grant.  This grant provides funding for research that will advance the specialized practice of emergency nursing.
