Through the TRDRP Postdoctoral Fellowship Award program, three-year grants of up to $180,000 will be awarded in support of postdoctoral researchers training under a designated mentor in one or more of the following research areas: cancer prevention, treatment, and/or biology.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages investigators to submit research grant applications that will identify, develop, test, evaluate and/or refine strategies to disseminate and implement evidence-based practices (e.g. behavioral interventions; prevention, early detection, diagnostic, treatment and disease management interventions; quality improvement programs) into public health, clinical practice, and community settings. In addition, studies to advance dissemination and implementation research methods and measures are encouraged.

The NIH Research Education Program (R25) supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The over-arching goal of this NIDDK R25 program is to support educational activities that help recruit individuals with specific specialty or disciplinary backgrounds to research careers in biomedical, behavioral and clinical sciences. To accomplish the stated over-arching goal, this FOA will support creative educational activities with a primary focus on Research Experiences. This FOA solicits applications to establish summer research institutes for qualified undergraduates to participate in summer research experiences relevant to the mission of the Division of Kidney, Urologic and Hematologic Diseases/NIDDK (NIDDK/DKUH).

Supported by the American Heart Association Strategically Focused Research Networks, there is a two-year postdoctoral fellowship opportunity listed by institution for the funded research networks. Fellows with a strong interest in either prevention, hypertension, disparities, women's health, or heart failure-related to cardiovascular disease and/or stroke research, commitment to multi-disciplinary team science approach at the population, clinical and basic science levels and excellent communication skills. The purpose of NIDILRR's Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRP), which are funded through the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects and Centers Program, is to plan and conduct research and dissemination and utilization activities to develop methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technology that maximize the full inclusion and integration into society, employment, independent living, family support, and economic and social self-sufficiency of individuals with disabilities, especially individuals with the most severe disabilities, and to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (Rehabilitation Act). The purpose of this particular DRRP is to generate new knowledge about the effectiveness of interventions to improve college education and employment outcomes of people with serious mental illness or traumatic brain injury.

This FOA is to be used to request administrative supplements for awards made to PAR-12-085 and PAR-15-167 "NIBIB Research Education Programs for Residents and Clinical Fellows program". This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) does not allow appointed trainees to lead an independent clinical trial, but does allow them to obtain research experience in a clinical trial led by a mentor or co-mentor.

The purpose of the NINDS Postdoctoral Mentored Career Development Award is to support the ability of outstanding, mentored postdoctoral researchers to develop a potentially impactful research project with a comprehensive career development plan that will enable them to launch an independent research program. Candidates are encouraged to apply for support from this NINDS K01 any time between the second through fourth year of cumulative mentored postdoctoral research experience, and may be supported by this NINDS K01 within the first 6 years of cumulative postdoctoral research experience. Because the completion of a strong, well-planned, thorough career development plan, in addition to development of an impactful research project, is a critical aspect of this K01, applications are strongly encouraged early in the postdoctoral eligibility window. By the end of the proposed K01 award period, the candidate should be poised to begin an independent research career with a well-developed, impactful research project and the expertise required to become a leader in the field.

Fellows receive an annual stipend of $30,000 for up to two years for completion of their dissertation and related research at their academic institution. Up to fifteen fellowships are awarded annually. Fellows must be enrolled in a doctoral program at an accredited academic institution in the United States and are selected from a range of academic disciplines, including but not limited to social work, public health, medicine, public policy, education, economics, psychology, and epidemiology.

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to improve the health outcomes for individuals with deafness and other communication disorders through effectiveness and health services research in the NIDCD mission areas of hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, speech and language.

The NIH Research Education Program (R25) supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH.  The over-arching goal of this NIDDK R25 program is to support educational activities that enhance the diversity of the biomedical, behavioral and clinical research workforce.  This R25 program encourages Professional Societies to design and implement educational programs with the goal of recruiting of individuals from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue careers in the biomedical, behavioral, clinical, and social sciences workforce. Applications from Professional Societies supporting the NIDDK mission areas are encouraged to develop educational programs aimed at recruiting talented , fellows, and junior faculty from groups underrepresented in biomedical, behavioral, clinical, and social sciences research in the NIDDK mission areas. Professional Societies should propose an educational program based upon an educational experiment which includes a diversity management plan for the Society which should enhance the diversity of the biomedical research workforce, and the pool of individuals from under represented groups in the organization's programs and leadership.

Grants are targeted primarily to new or junior investigators within seven years of attaining a terminal degree (e.g., PhD, EdD), and are expected to provide seed-money support after which further funding will be sought from other sources.

The objective of the NIDCR Award for Sustaining Outstanding Achievement in Research (SOAR) is to provide longer-term support to NIDCR-funded investigators, who are in their mid-career stage, and have outstanding records of research productivity, mentorship and professional service to the research community. It is expected that the SOAR Award will propel the investigator along this career trajectory and allow him/her to embark on ambitious longer-term projects of extraordinary potential within the mission of NIDCR. This award supports research projects for up to eight years.
