The Administration on Aging (AoA) will hold a competition for a new cooperative agreement to continue operation of the National Eldercare Locator. The Eldercare Locator will be available to people in 56 states and territories to provide information and referrals nationwide. The Locator is a call center with live information specialists helping older adults and their caregivers link to the aging network of trustworthy national, State, Tribal and community-based organizations. This new program announcement seeks to advance the Locator to better serve current and future older adults and those who care for them.

The purpose of NIDILRR's Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRP), which are funded through the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects and Centers Program, is to plan and conduct research and dissemination and utilization activities to develop methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technology that maximize the full inclusion and integration into society, employment, independent living, family support, and economic and social self-sufficiency of individuals with disabilities, especially individuals with the most severe disabilities, and to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (Rehabilitation Act). The purpose of this particular DRRP is to maintain the Burn Model Systems National Database and to provide training, technical assistance and support for the Burn Model Systems Centers as they contribute data to this database.

The Department of Administrative Services is soliciting competitive sealed proposals ("Proposals") on behalf of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services for the implementation and provision of a combined benefits and tax system (the "Work").

The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to support hypothesis-driven research of prenatal and pediatric hydrocephalus. This FOA intends to support hydrocephalus research projects that examine the developmental etiology (intrinsic factors including genetics) and acquired etiology (extrinsic factors including hemorrhage and infection) of prenatal and/or pediatric hydrocephalus. Studies should focus on understanding the molecular, cellular and developmental mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of prenatal and/or pediatric hydrocephalus.

The purpose of the FICDRP is to reduce fetal, infant, and child deaths by improving the quality of fatality reviews and providing evidence-based prevention strategies. Currently, there are approximately 1,350 Child Death Review (CDR) teams and 175 Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) programs in the United States. This cooperative agreement will provide two categories of funding to improve and strengthen state and local capacity of the FIMR programs and CDR teams to perform complete and accurate fetal, infant, and child death reviews.

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is soliciting applications for the establishment of a Marriage Strengthening Research & Dissemination (MAST R & D) Center. The grantee will oversee a 60-month plan that aims to form a nexus between basic research on marriage and families in the United States and programmatic approaches to supporting healthy marriages and families, especially approaches fundable by the federal Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education (HMRE) program. The Center will contribute to the research base relevant to marriage/relationships (including current and future relationships among youth) and HMRE programs/practices; build and support capacity for demographic trends and practice-focused research; and translate and disseminate emerging research. The Center will be expected to have a primary focus on economically disadvantaged families and other under-studied population groups. The Center also will be expected to actively engage a range of stakeholders, including investigators, practitioners, program officials and policymakers, throughout the course of the project.

The Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) and participating Institutes and Centers (ICs) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announce the continuation of the program for administrative supplements to research grants to support individuals with high potential to re-enter an active research career after an interruption for family responsibilities or other qualifying circumstances. The purpose of these supplements is to encourage such individuals to re-enter research careers within the missions of all the program areas of NIH. This program will provide administrative supplements to existing NIH research grants for the purpose of supporting full-time or part-time research by these individuals to update their existing research skills and knowledge.

The “Partner Actions to Improve Oral Health” program is a five-year competitive renewal to continue CDC investment in and support of oral health promotion and disease prevention programs. The purpose is to build the strength and effectiveness of state oral health programs recipients to prevent and control oral diseases and related conditions. Under component 1, recipient will work with all NOFO DP18-1810 funded programs to provide technical assistance, training, and capacity building resources for: 1) the Basic Screening Survey, 2) evidence-based oral health strategies (i.e., school sealant programs and community water fluoridation) and infection prevention and control practices, 3) oral health surveillance, 4) evaluation of oral health programs, and 5) reports on the oral health program capacity for all 50 states (CDC-funded and non-funded states). Under component 2, recipient will work with six programs selected NOFO DP18-1810 to integrate oral health with other chronic disease programs (i.e., medical/dental integration). Recipient will provide technical assistance for medical/dental integration programs, and compile examples of effective medical/dental integration programs and strategies. The proposed program will replace and build upon FOA 13-1313 [FY2013-FY2018]. Successful implementation and execution of the NOFO strategies will result in decreases in dental caries, oral health disparities, and co-morbid chronic diseases.

The purpose of the RRTCs, which are funded through the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects and Centers Program, is to achieve the goals of, and improve the effectiveness of, services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act through well-designed research, training, technical assistance, and dissemination activities in important topical areas as specified by NIDILRR. These activities are designed to benefit rehabilitation service providers, individuals with disabilities, family members, policymakers and other research stakeholders. The purpose of this particular RRTC is to conduct research, training, and related activities to contribute to improved employment outcomes of people with physical disabilities.

Impactful CVE projects take many forms, but often their success is measured in their ability to dissuade individuals from joining terrorist organizations, provide local communities with means to redress grievances, offer compelling alternatives to violent extremist narratives, empower local groups and individuals to play a greater role in improving their communities, or increase community resiliency to violent extremism. The goal of the project is to build the capacity and expand the work of local Tunisian NGOs and CSOs who directly and indirectly work with individuals vulnerable to sympathizing and/or supporting violent extremism.

This notice solicits applications for the Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID) Screening and Education program. The purpose of this program is to: 1) increase awareness and knowledge about SCID and newborn screening for SCID among parents, families, health care providers, public health professionals, and the public; 2) provide education, training, and support for newborn screening programs; 3) educate families with children diagnosed with SCID and link them to clinical and other services, especially those in rural and medically underserved areas; and 4) improve clinical care through education and training for providers caring for individuals with SCID.

The Pop Culture Collaborative represents an innovative hub for high impact partnerships and grants designed to help organizations and individuals leverage the reach and power of pop culture for social justice goals. Their 'Pop Up' Rapid Response Grants are designed to support a short-term project developed in connection to a recent or upcoming acute political or cultural time hook, and must be intended to reach an audience of more than a million people or engage artists, producers, and/or organizers that do so. Funded projects must impact, support, or connect with at least one of these community groups: people of color, immigrants, refugees, or Muslims. They can work to support initiatives that build movements, drive campaigns, produce stories, and leverage mass media and entertainment media to drive positive narrative and social change in popular culture. Examples of funded projects include public events and private retreats; tool and resource prototypes; network and partnership building; story, narrative, and strategy design process; and creative content including short film/video, concerts, music recordings, etc. Grants range from $5,000 to $30,000. For the purposes of this FOA, NIMH defines a family navigator model as a health care professional or paraprofessional whose role is to deploy a set of strategies designed to rapidly engage youth and families in needed treatment and services, work closely with the family and other involved treatment and service providers to optimize care and monitor the trajectory of mental health symptoms and outcomes over time. Applicants are encouraged to develop and pilot test the navigator model's ability to promote early access, engagement and coordination of mental health treatment and services for children and adolescents as soon as symptoms are detected. Of interest are navigator models that coordinate needed care strategies, determine the "personalized match" to the level of needed service amount, frequency and intensity, and harness novel technologies to track and monitor the trajectory of clinical, functional and behavioral progress toward achieving intended services outcomes.

Applicants for the funds may be students or faculty. The project, program, or entrepreneurial idea must be created by, led by or benefit women. Grants are awarded in values of $2500 to $20,000. While we prefer the base grant to be $5,000, we are considering a limited number of $2500 which will be required to show high impact. These applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The grants must be submitted online via the link below and must include a 2-minute video. Applicants will be narrowed to a pool of 10-15 finalists by our M.I.A.M.I. WOMEN Grants Committee. This committee will review applications; contact applicants if additional information is required, and present the finalists to the M.I.A.M.I. WOMEN Steering Committee and Development Staff. Grant deadline for this year is Feb. 9, 2018. These finalists will perform in a fast-pitch style Hawk Tank event on April 11, 2018. Finalists will be offered fast-pitch training courtesy of the Farmers School of Business - school of Entrepreneurship, and will receive coaching and support. They will then pitch their idea in 5 minutes or less on April 11, 2018 at the event. Giving Circle members are the voters who will determine winners. Absentee voters will be given the option to vote online. Winners will be announced that night or the next day at the Symposium, to be determined.

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE), will solicit applications for Family Strengthening Research Scholars grants to support dissertation research on healthy marriage/responsible fatherhood policy issues. These grants are meant to build capacity in the research field to focus on questions that have direct implications for healthy marriage/responsible fatherhood policy decision-making and program administration, and to foster mentoring relationships between faculty members and high-quality doctoral students. These grants are intended to address issues of significance to inform policy decisions and solutions, particularly for underserved/understudied populations (e.g., low-income families, minority populations), utilize rigorous research methodology (including primary data collection and/or secondary data analysis), and help inform the development of future intervention research.
