MiamiOH OARS on 07 May 19The International Congress for the History of Pharmacy is a biennial meeting of historians, pharmacists and other researchers and health professionals from around the world interested in the history of Pharmacy and pharmaceuticals. This year's Congress is co-sponsored by AIHP and the International Society for the History of Pharmacy, and is supported by a generous grant from the United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP). The conference will be held in Washington, DC, at the Capital Hilton, on September 5-8, 2019. The theme of the Congress is "The Pharmacist and Quality Medicines." Four plenary lectures and more than 50 papers will focus on a broad range of topics related to all aspects of history of Pharmacy and medicines, including the training and regulation of pharmacists and the social, scientific, technologic, and economic aspects of pharmaceuticals and the pharmaceutical industry. The conference will be of interest to scholars in the history of Pharmacy and medicine and related fields. Plenary lectures will be given by noted historians William B.
