The program supports the publication of book-length scholarly manuscripts in the history of American art, visual studies, and related subjects that have been accepted by a publisher on their merits but cannot be published in the most desirable form without a subsidy. For the purposes of this program, "American art" is defined as art created in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City invites proposals for projects that focus on at least one of the priority women's empowerment programs and target audiences specified including Professional Skills, Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) and Business, Media & Arts, Civil Society, Women in Politics and Governance, and Underprivileged and Vulnerable Groups.

USAI encourages and promotes the vibrant diversity of American artists and creative expression in the performing arts by expanding opportunity and exposure to international audiences, encouraging international cultural exchange, and enhancing the creative and professional development of U.S.-based artists by fostering connections with presenters, curators, and artists around the world.

The $20,000 ABOG fellowship supports socially engaged projects that promote art as a catalyst for social change; projects that feature artists in leadership roles; dialogue-based projects that emphasize active and sustainable partnerships with communities; and projects in which artists engage community members as equal partners on locally relevant issues, or globally relevant issues as they apply to the local context. Projects in which co-creation with non-artists is part of the process are highly encouraged.

Art works by enhancing the value of individuals and communities, by connecting us to each other and to something greater than ourselves, and by empowering creativity and innovation in our society and economy. The arts exist for beauty itself, but they also are an inexhaustible source of meaning and inspiration.

The Media Projects program supports film, television, and radio projects that engage general audiences with humanities ideas in creative and appealing ways. All projects must be grounded in humanities scholarship in disciplines such as history, art history, film studies, literature, drama, religious studies, philosophy, or anthropology. Projects must also demonstrate an approach that is thoughtful, balanced, and analytical (rather than celebratory). The approach to the subject matter must go beyond the mere presentation of factual information to explore its larger significance and stimulate critical thinking. NEH is a national funding agency, so the projects that we support must demonstrate the potential to attract a broad general audience. Film and television projects may be single programs or a series addressing significant figures, events, or ideas. Programs must be intended for national distribution, via traditional carriage or online distribution.

1) Arts Engagement, Cultural Planning, and Design Projects: Projects in this category should represent the distinct character and quality of their communities. They also must involve a partnership between a nonprofit organization and a local government entity, with one of the partners being a cultural organization. Matching grants will range from $25,000 to $200,000. 2) Projects that Build Knowledge (about creative placemaking): Grants in this category are available to arts and design service organizations and industry or university organizations that provide technical assistance to those doing place-based work. Matching grants will range from $25,000 to $100,000.

The U.S. Department of the Interiorâ¿¿s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) began acquiring and using aerial photography annually for western Oregon in 1978. BLM uses photography extensively for planning, monitoring, and evaluating the conditions on the ground in its mission to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the public lands within Oregon and Washington for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

Each contract will support a period of concentrated learning of between six to twelve months for apprentices who demonstrate a committed engagement with and a talent for a specific folk and traditional art form or practice. Upon agreeing to the contract, the apprenticeship pair will be required to go through an orientation. ACTA staff will work closely with the apprenticeship pair to gauge and document its progress and offer assistance and support. Each pair also will be required to organize some type of public event (performance, exhibit, lecture demonstration, etc.), in consultation with ACTA staff, in order to share the results of their work.

The Our Town grant program supports creative placemaking projects that help to transform communities into lively, beautiful, and resilient places with the arts at their core. This funding supports local efforts to enhance quality of life and opportunity for existing residents, increase creative activity, and create a distinct sense of place.

Through CAA's Terra Foundation for American Art International Publication Grant program, awards of up to $15,000 will be made in three categories: 1) grants to U.S. publishers for manuscripts considering American art in an international context; 2) grants to non-U.S. publishers for manuscripts on topics in American art; and 3) grants for the translation of books on topics in American art to or from English.

Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to projects that further understanding of Japanese arts and culture in the United States through the performing arts, exhibitions, film screenings, lectures, symposia, and other cultural events. Priority will be given to those projects that have secured additional funding from sources other than the Japan Foundation.

When Herb Block died in October 2001, he left $50 million and instructions to create a foundation that would encourage the art of editorial cartooning and support charitable and educational programs aimed at promoting the causes he championed during his seventy-two years of cartooning. As such, the Herb Block Foundation is committed to defending basic freedoms, combating all forms of discrimination and prejudice, and improving the condition of the poor and underprivileged. The foundation also seeks to provide educational opportunities through scholarships and to promote editorial cartooning through continuing research.

The Foundation supports programs that strengthen international understanding, foster worker's rights, empower underserved communities, nurture the arts and architecture, engage children in learning and advance scientific research.

Now in its thirty-third year, the annual program provides financial support to developing or established professionals for projects that are pivotal to the advancement of their career as artists. Because such projects may happen at different stages of a career, Emerging Artists grants are not restricted to new or emerging artists. Grants of up to $1,500 will be awarded in support of artistic projects in the areas of painting/drawing, photography, installation, film/video, drama, literature, printmaking/mixed media, craft, sculpture, dance, and music.

The Vilcek Foundation will award three prizes of $50,000 each to young fashion professionals who demonstrate outstanding early achievement.
