    Purpose of Program: The AENP--part of the Assistance for Arts Education (AAE) program--is authorized under Title IV, part F, subpart 4 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).\1\ In general, the purpose of the AAE program is to promote arts (as defined in this notice) education for students, including disadvantaged students and students who are children with disabilities (as defined in this notice). Specifically, the AENP supports national-level (as defined in this notice), high-quality arts education projects and services for children and youth, with special emphasis on serving children from low-income families (as defined in this notice) and children with disabilities through community and national outreach activities that strengthen and expand partnerships among schools, local educational agencies, communities, or centers for the arts, including national centers for the arts.

FY 2017 Notice of Funding Opportunity: Cultural Grants Program - Open Competition - 0 views

    The U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana, Slovenia announces this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Slovenian cultural institutions and civil society organizations. The Embassy continues to offer grants for well-conceived and managed projects that encourage and promote cultural and artistic cooperation, collaboration and exchange between the United States and Slovenia. Projects should: promote the values and culture of American society; present American history, society, art, or other culture to Slovenian audiences; and/or promote cultural cooperation between Slovenia and the United States. Typically grant awards range from $3,000 to $5,000, though some exceptional projects are funded up to $10,000, and supplement other funding. The deadline for submitting proposals is August 1, 2017. New grantees will be given priority over previous grantees. Funding for cultural grants is decided through a competitive application process, and each proposal is reviewed by an internal embassy committee.

The Embassy continues to offer grants for well-designed and managed projects that encourage and promote cultural and artistic cooperation, collaboration and exchange between the United States and Slovenia. The focus of successful projects should be the presentation and promotion of American values, culture, and/or history through art, music, literature, dance, and/or other cultural mediums, to Slovenian audiences. Projects which demonstrate cultural cooperation between Slovenia and the United States that is indicative of the strong transatlantic relationship between the two nations and their people are of particular interest. Typically grant awards range from $3,000 to $5,000 and supplement other funding, though some exceptional projects may qualify for up to $10,000. The deadline for submitting proposals is March 15, 2019. New grantees may be given priority over previous grantees. Funding for cultural grants is decided through a competitive application process, and each proposal is reviewed by an internal embassy committee.

    In September, Miami received notice from the government that our new F&A rates are: 44.5% for On Campus Organized Research 44.0% On Campus Sponsored Instruction 39.0% On Campus Other Sponsored Activities 26.0% Off Campus All Programs These rates are effective beginning September 1, 2014. Awards received beginning in September and all proposal submissions going forward will be required to use the new rates.

    The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the Embassy of the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan is pleased to announce an open competition for assistance awards through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).
