"How sad. I work at a non-profit and we recently had to close an afterschool program for youth in the poor part of town. Funders have lost so much money in the recession, and it's a trickle-down effect. I pray this wonderful organization finds the funds and spirit to re-start, or that the women who were being benefits from it can receive help and encouragement elsewhere. Thanks for joining the High Calling Network. I love what you're doing with your business and blog! "

My word is "JOY." I love the concept of choosing a word and not a resolution. In fact, I decided this year to pray for "revolution" and not make resolutions. :) I like the name of your blog and am glad you've joined THC network. I look forward to getting to know you as you have time to participate!

"Helen, I'm thrilled you've joined THC network. Your book and blog are such a great fit for us, and I really appreciated your perspective in this response piece to Chua's book. Thanks for jumping on board so quickly and in such an excellent way! I look forward to seeing you around the network and getting to know you better as you have time to participate."

You're so right. There is value in the waiting…but I'm so often impatient and want to get through with it as quickly as possible! I'm glad to find you through The High Calling. Welcome to the network!

Caroline, I love this! I'm trying to live in the moment, too-embracing every bush that's afire with God. And I'm so, so glad you've joined The High Calling blog network. I can't wait to read more of your excellent writing. I have two boys, adore bacon and avocados (sometimes, on the same sandwich!) and love mission work (it's how I met my husband). Your ministry sounds amazing, and I can't wait to hear more about it as you share your stories and experiences with our bloggers.

My family and I have experienced the same thing this year as we stepped out in faith to move closer to family and pursue a ministry God was calling my husband to. It's been difficult, but I've learned how FAITHFUL He is. Every. Single. Moment. I'm glad you've joined The High Calling network and look forward to reading more about your journey.

Wow! What an accomplishment-and how awesome that you presented the idea and helped them follow through. I'm impressed and inspired! I'm very glad you've joined THC network-I'm one of the welcome editors there-and look forward to seeing your name and blog on a regular basis.

These are some of my favorites, too. Zena, I'm one of the staff at THC and am really glad you've joined The High Calling network. I love C.S. Lewis, Les Mis, missions, and work in community relations. I think we would have great conversations over a cuppa tea. However, since I live in Texas and you're across the ocean, I'll look forward to seeing you around the network

I have dairy and gluten sensitivities too, so I appreciate the info. The cake and book look yummy-and so does your blog. I can't wait to dive in more fully (to all three!). I'm so glad you've joined The High Calling…looking forward to seeing you around the network.
