I love your description of flying and the way you found God in the thunderstorm. I found God this week in the way our community rallied to meet needs of the less fortunate. I love how God shows us in so many different ways-and usually just when we least expect it! BTW, we're very thankful that you've joined our HC network, and look forward to getting to know you better.

This is such a lovely tribute to the kind of pastor any church would be lucky to have. And that movie clip? So compelling. Our 8th grade boys are reading To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm a suburb girl who visited a dairy farm this summer. I didn't get to see the cows finding water sources but we did get to see them being milked by a giant milking machine. :) I think your cows make for a good parallel. This post reminds me of a song I was singing today about being thirsty for Living Water. I love how God does that - confirms His word in us in a variety of ways. John is right. It's an awesome location, so beautiful. Last year when I was at the Writers Retreat, I did manage to find a place on the top of a mountain that had cell reception. That being said, it's still a great place to hear from God! Hope to see you there. And welcome to The High Calling!

While I do believe that some people are born naturally introverted or naturally extraverted, I think you're correct in your assessment of how the enemy often works in the lives of others by using fear. New "faith" member. Hi Julie, This post echoes some of what I've felt this year. Well, not that there haven't been challenges, to be sure. But that in the midst of it all, life, God, is good. And yes, there are bumps in the road, but in the grand scheme of things, this is not our home. Welcome to The High Calling!
