Great support everyone. Manda don't forget you can contact our Counsellors too for a chat.. they are here for you and are often underutilised. Here is a link to the counselling info and numbers http://www.newengland.tafensw.edu.au/en/services_and_facilities/counselling.aspx BTW love your profile image here on Diigo. :-)
Yes so many things keep us busy - planned and the unexpected. Moving house is up there with the stressful things to do Michelle! I just spent the weekend involved in our local show and moving a room and that was exhausting and still not finished. Have you a location you can study, complete tasks and connect to class (e.g. work place or local library) during your move?
Harold - is there a way you can negotiate with your daughter as your diploma is as valuable as hers. (though she may not think so!) Perhaps quarantine some hours in a time slot when you are not too tired... or perhaps focus on printing off info so you can follow it up later off the internet.
Hi Definitely Ally I am happy to help. :-) A lot of work sorting another computer.
I will get you connected to Shawn as she is a whizz with sorting computers when crashed. This situation is exactly when Diigo comes into it's fore... if you had saved any favourites they would still be acceptable. I will also introduce you to www.dropbox.com for saving your files on the www as well. Shawn I have Ally's contact details will send you an email when i get to work.
Hi Michelle, Hope you achieved something today with that time to yourself. Wondering if you and others are feeling overwhelmed? A strategy could be to take it one bite or step at a time. Work out which one is due first and work on that one. How are others going? Viv
Thinking we might look at some activities on Procrastination (how to avoid it) and invite our counsellors in to help us all as well.
Any other suggestions/requests ANYONE? for helping with completing assessment tasks? Robyn suggested we look at Mind mapping as a tool for researching, good for summarising and putting into your own words too.
Thanks Kylie for starting this "Topic" in our NEI Nursing group. I just checked out the link you posted (It came from Shawn's session on 'Getting started with your research'.
I found some of the words in the list difficult to understand... for example 4. Truncation...
So it seems it depends on the 'database' or search engine as to how you use these tools.
So why not look at Kylie's link in the first posting in this topic and then choose one in the list of 8 Search strategies, search for a clearer explanation of what it means and post a reply. Let's share our learning. :-)
Hi NEINursing team :-) I wanted to kick of the first topic for our Diigo group and what better way to start than a discussion about social bookmarking and this site Diigo. Have you got a question, a suggestion or any tips to share with us.
