Simple and free, Jing is the perfect way to enhance your fast-paced online conversations.

I tried Jing only a couple of weeks back and I have already made over 40 videos for use in my classes.

I was referred to this product by a colleague and it is really easy to use. I use it to record video solutions for my math review. Jing also works with Camtasia, which allows you to edit your Jing videos, as well as convert them into other media types such as mp4.

One of my colleagues likes to create a "Wall" for major topics in his course such as the Cold War. This takes the places of a conventional classroom bulletin board where instructor and students can post photos and web sites and their own work.

Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Never email yourself a file again!

Love Dropbox! This has been so helpful to me when I was working on my dissertation and also for preparation for courses and sharing them to students and colleagues.

Probably a site most have heard of before, but well worth the look if you haven't. Basically, it's one man who sits at his computer with a slate and narrates videos explaining an idea/technique as demonstrated on a simple whiteboard. He's recorded a large compilation of these videos from a variety of fields in math and science. I love this publication on how to facilitate a discussion board. It is easy to read and just has a TON of tidbits on how do run a good discussion board in your online class. I refer to it often. It is a little old, so as I recall, there might be a few links within the document that are broken, but there is a lot of content, so you won't miss it probably.
