TheoryTab is an ideal resource for theory teachers who are teaching students familiar with guitar tab, but not yet ready for practical notation based music theory. The approach of this site is to integrate tablature with the functional approach to harmony, using songs from the popular music cultures of today.

This was another great find from Dr. Bauer's resource list that provides an overview of Art History. This website is of interest to me for the natural connections of art and music to cultural heritage, and as an IB teacher, these connections are the basis for the media script internal assessment.

I stumbled across Open Music Theory last year during the Form and Analysis class, and my IB Music students have been thankful for the find ever since. This resource allows for editing your own version of an online theory text, covering basics through advanced 20th century approaches. While this readability of the text is fairly advanced, the fact that you can download and edit to your heart's content makes this resource incredibly invaluable.

Harmony Central is a collection of articles geared toward the performing or gigging musician. For students, this resource could provide guiding documents for those considering a leap into the field of live shows, with expert advice, user reviews, and a forum for collaboration.

The Kennedy Center ArtsEdge site contains a wealth of lessons, activities, and supporting information to enhance arts education. There is an extensive media library containing audio stories, performance clips and other viable information for students.

PreSonus is a provider of technology solutions for recording and music creation. I have met staff members at the Texas Music Educators Association Conventions, and they have great white papers and solution sets for educators.

This is a website to use with elementary students for teaching about the components of an opera. Hansel and Gretel is sung in English and students are able to interact and make decisions about the production.

This is an online interactive game for EVERYONE! Students are presented the chance to design their own opera, embark with interactive chamber music, access music resources, and even engage the entire family with a family listening activity.

Children's Music Workshop is a resource site for parents to help reinforce proper practices for beginning instrument players. It provides tips for putting the horn together and tips on how to help children progress on their instruments.

This website is great for beginning musicians.  It provides instructional videos for the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, violin and cello.  It provides suggestions for the parents of these beginning musicians.  It is a great tool for music advocacy.  

Provided by Holy Names University in conjunction with their Kodály Center, "American Folk Song Collection" is a valuable resource for music teachers, parents, choral conductors and composers.Exploring the collection of repertoire allows a music teacher of any grade level the opportunity to obtain musical scores, lyrics, song analyses and background information. All applicable to constructing curriculum, selecting repertoire for a performance ensemble or building a personal database of favorite songs. Recordings provided by the Library of Congress and other resources and short films on the history and work of Zoltán Kodály, make this a strong resource for instructional planning and classroom implementation.
