Provided by Holy Names University in conjunction with their Kodály Center, "American Folk Song Collection" is a valuable resource for music teachers, parents, choral conductors and composers.Exploring the collection of repertoire allows a music teacher of any grade level the opportunity to obtain musical scores, lyrics, song analyses and background information. All applicable to constructing curriculum, selecting repertoire for a performance ensemble or building a personal database of favorite songs. Recordings provided by the Library of Congress and other resources and short films on the history and work of Zoltán Kodály, make this a strong resource for instructional planning and classroom implementation.

HNU is a site in which students, teachers, parents could utilize to find songs, lyrics, scores, song analysis, background information, and deeper insight into the works and methodologies of Zoltan Kodaly.

This website provides a collection of operatic midi files and/or scores on Aria collections of Berlioz, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, and Wagner, as well as partial collections of over 50 other composers, for a total of 1,288 Arias.

The Aria Database has: 1288 Arias ,177 Operas , 65 Composers, 389 Translations,1027 Aria Texts and 223 MIDIs. The search features on this site are impressive. You can search using the name of the aria, opera, or the role. You can also search by voice part or vocal range. While the website is not adding new material, most vocalists will be able to find what they are looking for with the depth of material already entered.

The Aria Database is a free website to find useful material for music educators, students, and performers. It has a huge library of Aria and Opera roles that are easy to search. It comes with very useful information such as range, translations, setting, synopsis, and recordings. Searching is easy and can vary in degree simple search, Aria search, Opera search, Role search, or browse the many selections. People can contact or contribute to this website. I do not see any scores, but there are links that do provide them.

This string specific website has lots of great resources for working on different skill-sets. I particularly like this for the finger pattern exercises and rhythmic reading tunes. This helps to work on rhythm, intonation, sight-reading, and scale work.

This page provides a list of repertoire that is suitable for young bands. Along with the titles, arrangers and publisher, it provides a brief description as well as length of piece. This is a great resource with young bands wanting to play higher level repertoire.

The lessons on this website can prove to be useful for all levels of music education.

Musictheory.net is a great resource for students to learn about music theory and explore learning more on their own. The lessons and exercises are well-crafted and of great quality. The recent addition of apps for lessons and exercises provides a great low-cost option for students to continue learning on their own, but also allows for classrooms to be equipped with the apps for low costs, assuming that iPads are available.

Musician's way is a website that is useful for both teachers and students alike. The website provides viewers with practice guides and tips, which are ideal for students, and workshops, which would be ideal for educators. Musician's Way is a companion website to the text of the same name written by Gerald Klickstein. The website also has resources for teachers who are looking for inspiration to bring more creativity into their classroom.

This is a supporting website for Gerald Klickstein's book, "The Musician's Way". Resources are organized by category, most of which contain additional reading/links on a topic like practice, creativity, and performance. This helps students realize the thought behind creating music, which they can then transfer to their school music class. This site also includes blogs about songwriter interviews, quizzes, and song facts to name a few. The featured songs fall into the category "daily top ten" or "weekyl top ten," keeping the songs up-to-date and easy for young students to recognize/connect with.

This website is a great resource for discovering the stories behind popular songs. The list of songs seem to be extensive and include pieces that would be familiar to students. This resource could help create a relevant curriculum that speaks to the non-traditional music student's interests and their music experience.
