Musical Content: The Choral Public Domain Library contains digital downloads (sheet music, midi files, and notation files) for choral works that are in the public domain. There is a large selection, and CPDL offers useful search features such as listing all musical settings of a text, searching by language, type of piece, and by musical era. Other information: This is a good resource for directors who do not have large music budgets, are looking to find different settings of specific texts, or are looking for music from a specific time period.

The features of this online classroom are designed for learning, creating, and sharing music.

An excellent `learning management system designed for music educators. I would love to use this in place of Google Classroom.

DrumStation is a program that will allow students to create their own drum loops using 8 different drumming instruments. Be aware, I have not been able to find a tutorial for this program. However, it lets students be creative when composing through technology!

Soundation is a really cool program that allows the users to play with loops, midi files, wav files, and even creating your own music. This could be a really great way to get your students to compose their own music through technology!

This is a web-based software which is free with the option to upgrade. It is similar to GarageBand, but is great because it doesn't require a specific type of computer to use. To use, one simply drags in the loops and MIDI tracks to create their own songs. The free version has its limitations, but can still create some amazing tracks for the classroom.

I've used this site with students playing boomwhackers along with the animation. It's very easy for children to use and provides a great tool for visually representing sound and fractions (both in relation to the tube length and also the beats in the measures).

This is a website that describes software for learning the recorder. It uses interdisciplinary aspects that seem to be interesting - and probably appealing to students.

Here is as software program review of Go for the Gold! I have never seen a software program for the Recorder. This program can be useful for elementary school music students that are beginning to play on song flutes.

I use tis online metronome in my rehearsals almost every day. Since it is web-based, students can use this for individual or group practice without any additional apps or hardware.

This is an excellent site for all things theory. There are many drills and other materials for students. It requires a subscription but, in my opinion, would be well worth. This would be a great resource for AP music theory students to work on their own outside of class.

This is a music theory practice website. You can also download software so that it can be used offline. There is a fee if you want to track student progress, however, you can use the practice drills for free. Teachers are able to customize their drills.

Great website that describes apps for different educational subjects. Additionally, the website has links for how to use apps for teaching. The website is easily maneuverable and is organized by genre and each app lists the cost, description as well as the iOS platform. Excellent website for educators learning about using iOS in their classrooms. 

A great site for music parents, this is a great site to direct parent to or to use as a resource for the instructor himself with many useful links connecting to ways to approach music students, parents, and administrations for both instructional and advocacy scenarios.

Games for children in music

This is absolutely ridiculous. If your instrument has elephant ivory, even the tiniest bit, and it was made after the 1976 agreement regarding import of elephant ivory, it is considered contraband - and the government can take it from you - when you travel. The silliest part is that many people are misinformed about the use of ivory in musical instruments. Piano keys - "those ivories" - those are made from seal ivory, not elephant ivory. I wonder how much ivory used in other instruments is elephant ivory.

Thanks for sharing this! I have to figure out how to travel to Bolivia in a couple weeks with my baroque bow, which has an ivory frog.
