Music K8 is a publication company that provides resources (physical and digital) for elementary/general music teachers. Most of the musical content is organized and packaged around various themes, such as seasons or holidays. There is also a magazine (for teachers) that is published quarterly containing a variety of repertoire and high quality mp3 accompaniment tracks. Individual songs can also be previewed and purchased digitally.

This website is used to help me find new repertoire to work on with my students. Teaching concepts through pieces of music is important even at the younger level. This resource helps me find music for all ages in my school.

Tanya's blog incorporates musical activities that are focused around the Kodaly method. Each lesson includes books, resources, listening lessons, and songs. There is also a link that has song lists with games attached to them. Each lesson also has a podcast attached through Soundcloud so you can listen to how the lesson was delivered. TeachRock is an online educational resource presented by Steven Van Zandt's Rock and Roll Forever Foundation and offered free-of-charge to educators and individuals everywhere. Interdisciplinary in nature, TeachRock is geared toward middle and high school students but includes resources for learning at all levels.

As a member of NAfME, you get access to numerous resources. On their website, you can find different sections for teachers, students, etc. One of the resources as a teacher you can access is the Online Professional Development for Music Educators by Music Educators. Through this, you can get over a 100 hours of professional development. This is great, especially if you don't have a lot of opportunities to do this through your school.

The NAMM foundation is another great organization for music educators. On their website, they offer different resources for educators through the Music Achievement Council. They also offer some videos with 'tips for success', which can help you advocate and support music programs, and the 'business side' of teaching music.

This website provides a detailed teaching and playing sequence for increasing fluency for all members of the recorder family. These resources include note sequences, fingering charts, technical advice/tips, etc.

Lots of technical information on recorder method. Areas of the website that I explored have a lot of information that can seem overwhelming, but is also incredibly helpful. Would be a great resource for someone who wants to learn how to play/teach the recorder by studying/reading.

The American String Teachers Association is filled with helpful resources for string teachers specifically. The "teaching resources" page includes tips for working on string specific content such as bowing technique and left and right hand position.

This is the entire American Folk Song collection. This excellent resource can be used by educators to print out folk songs to use to teach their students specific music skills such as singing, audiating, pitch, and rhythm. The website even gives activity ideas to use for each specific song.

This website would be a useful resource for history facts about composers form multiple musical periods. The purpose of this website is to provide a young music student with resources to support music learning. The learning focuses mostly on recorder, pitch identification, and aural identification. Also, there are videos that are available for students to sing along. Overall the site is a kid-friendly that is easy to navigate. The website would be a good resource for recorder skills, aural skills and pitch identification. Elementary or beginning student would benefit from using the site.

This is a great resource for a beginning band program that does not have a large budget.
